Walt Life Addiction Subscription June 2016 Subscription Box Review

Walt Life Addiction Subscription is a monthly Disney-themed subscription box. Every month you’ll receive 3-4 pieces of authentic Disney Parks merchandise. This subscription is named after their company and Disney fan community which has been around since 2009!

Walt Life says boxes aren’t themed to allow for the best variety of merchandise, the October and December boxes will have the appropriate holiday themes.
Even though they swear up and down they don’t have themes, they usually have one.

Everything in the box! It’s a cute beach theme! There were only 2 items this month, instead of 3-4.

Disney Minnie Mouse Deluxe Water Fan ($19.99) My. Daughter. Flipped. Out. Ok thee water fans are super useful in that they are cooling but I can’t ever bring myself to buy one. My kid has just flat-out begged for one and I have always meant to pick up a generic water fan before we visit Disney and I always forget.  So this was a big treat for her!

The bottom comes off for refilling the fan.  This is not a parks item but is produced by licensee Jerry Leigh.  (This is what the Misting Fan sold at Disney Parks looks like).

There is a breakaway strap (safer for kids and adults alike) and the lanyard is adjustable. 

If you aren’t familiar with these puppies you hang it around your neck and blow water mist on your face and body while you’re out in the sun – the effect is really cooling!

Disney Minnie Mouse Beach Towel ($16.95) a huge 30×60″ 100% cotton towel – this is a Disney Store item!

Aw, Minnie is so adorable and I love the nautical theme.  This makes the perfect addition to the kids’ Mickey (and Minnie!) themed bathroom.

This was a great box! Two super usable and high quality Disney themed items with a value of about $37. The fan is totally overpriced but all Disney water fans are, which is why I never buy one! I feel obligated to point out that the item numbers don’t match the box description, but it doesn’t matter too much when I love everything and the value is good! This subscription, however, needs to update its description if it’s moving away from Disney Parks items.

See our note about the value of Disney-themed boxes specifically – it perfectly acceptable for a Disney themed box to have a lower value than the cost and nobody should expect to receive tons of retail value in this type of box because the items cannot generally be sourced as a discount. You are really paying for the items, the service, and the shipping. This applies only if they are Parks items!
