Tonttu Box is a monthly subscription that delivers between five and seven gifts to your home for parent and child to enjoy. Selections may include unique handmade finds, children’s books, educational toys, treats and spa products, all designed to spoil both parent and child! Tonttu Box supports small, local artisans whenever possible and loves to give back! If members so desire, they can fill their empty Tonttu box with baby products they’re not going to use (not Tonttu Box products, of course, as they’ll be used!) and send the box back to Tonttu Box, which will in turn send the box to children in need.
Each shipment arrives well-packaged, encased in neatly-folded tissue paper.
The tissue paper arrives fastened together with a beautiful heart sticker.
The theme for June was Father’s Day! As far as my kids are concerned, it’s certainly true: the only real superhero is Dad!
This month’s shipment included a loofah and aftershave for dads, homemade playdough, a reusable squeeze pouch and lip balm.
The theme was displayed prominently on the enclosed piece of paper.
On the reverse, the paper also included a list of the contents of the box and their values.
I can’t get enough of this Ginger and Blood Orange Lip Balm by Lo and Behold Natural Body Care in North Carolina ($5)! This handmade lip balm has a subtle scent that I love! I also like how it comes in a compact tin. For some reason, this makes me more likely to share it with my kids. Tonttu box includes a coupon code for a discount for those who wish to order more from Lo and Behold. Cool!
My entire family loves this caramel apple playdough by Zdough ($7)! It smells of caramel, looks like a red apple and is easy to manipulate. I love that it’s edible (even if it doesn’t taste good), so I don’t have to worry if my daughter ingests some of it. Tonttu box includes a coupon code for reorders.
My husband loved this Men’s Super Buffer with built in body wash by Spongellé ($18)! He loves loofahs in general, and this one is an all-in-one with a lovely verbena absolute scent. He’s just sad it’s only good for 20 washes. Each one contains coconut oil along with extracts of yuzu, edelweiss and vetiver. Clearly, I’ll need to get more of these.
Although my husband liked this Blacksmith witch hazel aftershave by PuurBody ($3), he generally prefers more overpowering scents in his aftershaves. Still, the scent that this one has is lovely–it has notes of hardwood, smoke and leather. I think it smells fantastic! Containing both witch hazel and organic aloe juice, this aftershave has the astringency one would expect with an aftershave along with what your skin will crave to help calm it down. Tonttu box enclosed another coupon for subscribers to use to obtain a discount on future purchases. Great!
This product is really neat! It’s a reusable squeeze pouch for those who make their own purees ($14.99)! My daughter loves squeeze pouches, and up to now, we’ve been buying them at the store (but they’re so expensive!). Now, I can make the purees myself, while still handing them off to my daughter in squeeze pouch form. Neat! These pouches are designed in the USA by moms in Idaho and produced in China in facilities that subscribe to the SA8000 working standard. Tonttu box has enclosed another coupon for reorders of this as well.
I thought my first Tonttu Box was fabulous! Each of the products was useful, unique and produced in limited quantities. This box had products for him, for her and for baby too! My husband and I loved the bath and spa products, and my daughter loved the play dough and squeeze pouch. We can’t wait to see what they send out next month!
