Sci-Fi Block June 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon – FULL SPOILERS

After you use your code SAVE YOUR CARD – you have to try to collect all 9 pieces to get a completed puzzle and get a $100 card. I’m betting there will be only a few linchpin puzzle pieces.

Shirt Punch has shirts as low as $10 (shipping $4 I think), so you can get a shirt around $4, which is an awesome deal, but I love the daily bundles they have! Yesterday they had a Warcraft bundle with a shirt and 2 Pops for $20, which I almost got because Pops, but I waited and I was glad I did, because I scored that cute MLP bundle for just $8.  I totally didn’t care at all that I had to spend more money because it was a great deal and my kiddo will go wild – there’s not a lot of girly-geek stuff in boxes!

Back to the Future: 4-pack coaster set (exclusive).  I get a lot of coasters in subscription boxes  But I’m going to admit 2 things today – that I actually use all of them and that these are amongst my faves! Love the Cafe 80s tin!

How can you not love these? They’re Back to the Future inspired and fun!

I am really not sure how these are supposed to work exactly – typically the cork touches the table, but in this case the metal would be on the table. I’m thinking that maybe you leave the printed side up and when you want to use it, you flip it over? This is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Back To The Future Delorean Art Print: I love the pop art style of this print! So much more relevant to me than a can of Campbell’s. Unfortunately, the print was unprotected in the box, and as you can see, ripped. I emailed Nerd Block about it. I’ve never had a problem with a print in this box before!

I can’t wait for this movie! I’m a giant fan of alien action adventure!

Dynamite 1 Shot Battlestar Galactica Comic: This is a Nerd Block exclusive variant, clearly labeled with the Comic Block logo. To my knowledge this hasn’t been in Comic Block and the June spoilers don’t have it in there, so maybe they had extra? I’m not really sure.

This was a fun book, but small – maybe about 14 pages total. 

Shirt Punch Jurassic Pops Shirt: Mmmm fortified with Dino DNA! My husband was totally psyched about this and packed it for our trip. It’s a nice play on the Jurassic Parks franchise – and he and our daughter will look so cute wearing matching tees (The shirt we bought her was a Luna Pops shirt!).

Aliens Vs. Colonial Marines: Ahhhh this is the coolest little green men set ever! I couldn’t resist playing with them. Our ALIENS stuff is going to need its own shelf!

This was kind of an odd duck box but I liked it! It felt a little filler-ish even though there was plenty there with the shirt, Pop, coasters, and Aliens/marines set! I will be pretty happy with this box with a replacement print. If you’re on the fence it might be worth taking a look at Shirt Punch to see if you’re interested in the credit. I thought it was pretty fantastic.

FYI – ship dates have changed for Sci-Fi block to the 15th of the month with billing on the first. This means you can swap blocks with any of the other adult Nerd Blocks! This also means you have until June 15 to get this box!
