I recognized a few brands!
The items in the Orange Glad May box look yummy! The entire family was looking through the box and selecting treats to eat.
The Quin Company Dreams Come Chew (10 pieces, $5.00) is made in small batches with nothing artificial in them. The boys, ages 7 and 17, loved them and declared them better than the Starbursts. They did not last long in the house.
My husband and I found the Carolina Girl Cooks Rose Tea Cookies (appx $2.40) to be delicious. Made with edible rose flowers and rose waters, we found the cookies to have a delightful floral taste. The rose taste wasn’t overwhelming and would make for a delightful cookie to enjoy with a lovely cup of tea.
While I regretted sharing the Rustic Bakery Espressos Chocolate Chip Shortbread with my husband, there was enough to share with the shortbread weighing in at 1.75 ounces. This cookie is not your average chocolate chip shortbread. Imagine rich Ritual Roosters espresso coffee united with Callebaut dark chocolate chips in a delicious shortbread that is neither too hard or too soft. Why did I share?
Everyone declared the AnnieB’s Original Caramel Popcorn (2.5 oz, $2.00) as having the right amount of caramel on it. The popcorn is handcrafted in small batches ensuring that it is delectable. The bag was large enough for everyone to have a small amount to enjoy.
The AnnieB’s Butter Rum Caramels (2 pieces, $0.50 each, $1.00 total) are still made in copper pots. The gluten-free caramels are approximately 3 inches long and weigh about .5 ounces each. I was surprised to see two products from AnnieBs in the same month. Everything tasted delicious so no complaints!
Orange Glad is raising its price from $19.00 to $25.00 which includes shipping. Current subscribers will pay $22.00 a month which includes shipping. Prices will be in effect for the June box. It’s a struggle that all boxes are experiencing since the postal shipping rates were increased at the beginning of the year. OrangeGlad is working to offset the costs by providing unique sweets.
The family enjoyed the May Orange Glad Box. The portions were large enough that everyone could take part of the discovery process. All items tasted fresh and were savored by all. My personal favorite was the Rustic Bakery Espresso Chocolate Chip Shortbread. The boys loved the Quin Dreams Come True. My husband appreciates all of it. I am looking forward to the June box!
