Loot Gaming is a monthly subscription box from Loot Crate featuring collectibles, apparel, accessories and more from the biggest and best video game universes. Each box will have $60 in items, plus a booklet/mini-mag and pin.
The box is crammed with goodies! But super neatly!
Everything in the box! The Loot Gaming box for May 2016 had the DUNGEON theme. Yes, we just got the May box.
Every box comes with a mini-mag – called The Game Manual.
I loved how the item pages give you extra game knowledge and information, instead of just being about the item! The booklet included a scannable page for Loot Crate’s Word Gush app. My daughter loves that game!
The box turned inside out makes a nice chest for my dungeon!
May 2016 Dungeon Pin – The Loot Gaming pins are designed to look like game tokens/coins. I really loved this bronzed pin – it was so detailed and really fantastic!
Side note – I wore my Zelda scarf this past week and a colleague came racing up to me to show me his equally dorky/awesome triforce wallet. I would never have guessed! Showing your geek pride is a great way to find your tribe.
Uncharted Journal: I think this is a great item! It looks just like the one actually in the game, but just about anyone would love this! Skull & bones and fun map – check!
The inside is lined and has the tagline – I am a man of fortune and must seek my fortune. (So saith the pirate Every!).
DOOM Can Glass: Well, it has no fake blood (the shipment was delayed due to some unknown item that leaked faux blood all over customs and had to be nixed – I really want to know what it was!). This is a cool item though and I’m thinking sangria spritzer would really go nicely in it, just to play up the blood factor.
The booklet itself had a one pager about “the actual plot of Doom.” It’s funny.
Cute But Deadly Blind Box Vinyl Figure: Bonus item to make up for the delay on the box.
DIABLO! The perfect score for Dungeon month!
The back features Solaire of Astora and references the massive popularity of this somewhat dorky character (precisely because of his dorkiness). If I could be so grossly incandescent as Solaire! Praising the sun is his big move. #sunbro
It was hard for me to pick a fave this month – I thought it was a nice crate with a good variety of items. I am most definitely a fan of the inside reference shirt rather than just being a licensed item – hoping to see more of that for sure! I’m still not seeing ‘connected apparel that unlocks exclusive in-game items and physical versions of in-game items so you can own a piece of that gaming universe’ a whole lot. The journal would count for this month and the beanie for last month, but I’m waiting for Loot Gaming to cook up something really mindblowing (although that may have been the fake blood item – I wish they’d tell us what it was just to satisfy my curiosity!).
