J, age 7,  missed out on opening the box. His big brother, T, was happy to assist. The June items look great for both boys.

Information Card
Information Card

The information card is set up as a trifold this month.

Funko Mopez DeadPool

PA Anna: T, age 17, wants to keep the Funko Mopeez Gray Deadpool ($10.47) for himself. Subscribers received one of 6 Funko Mopeez: The Joker, Harley Quinn, Deadpool Original, Deadpool Grey, Deadpool Yellow, or Deadpool Blue. The excitement is already starting for the Suicide Squad movie featuring The Joker and Harley Quinn.

T: The gray Deadpool is Deadpool from the “Uncanny X-force” comic series. “Uncanny X-Force” is about Deadpool, along with Wolverine and a few other X-men like Storm, operating covertly on sketchy missions. Gray Deadpool looks like a boss.

Evil Companions: Super Geek Box Exclusive Money Meowth: Pay Day Wallet
Evil Companions: Super Geek Box Exclusive Money Meowth: Pay Day Wallet

PA Anna: The purrfect gift for the gamer that loves Pokemon. J is going to go crazy over the Exclusive Meowth Pay Day Wallet.

T: Awww Meowth is holding an Amulet Coin! In the Pokemon games, if you give your Pokemon an Amulet Coin and then battle with that Pokemon, you receive double the prize money for winning. This actually seems sort of cool.

Chomp Chomp Keychain

T: Chain Chomp is a common underling in the Mario series. It makes appearances in everything from the regular games to the Mario Party games and Mario Kart games.

PA Anna: I don’t recall Chain Chomp at all!

T: That’s because he first appeared in the third Super Mario game.

PA Anna: The Super Geek Box TR8R Drawstring Bag is a perfect size for the little guy, not so much for the big guy. T did not find it comfortable to wear.

T: This is a Mario-Star Wars mashup. It’s a mix between a Koopa Troopa and Fin the Stormtrooper. In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Stormtrooper Fin gets blood smeared onto his helmet, and feeling bad about his past actions, betrays the dark side and joins the good guys in the movie. A Koopa Troopa is another common underling in the Mario series. They are the foot soldiers of Bowsers army, much like Stormtroopers are in Star Wars. The lettering spells “traitor” and is in Star Wars style lettering.

Super Geek Box Harley Queen Decal
Super Geek Box Harley Queen Decal

PA Anna: This card is awesome! J will find a place for the Super Geek Box Harley Queen Decal if T doesn’t swipe it.

T: Harley Quinn is the love interest of The Joker. She is shown in her Batman: The Animated Series iteration and with her pop gun. Harley is going to be on the big screen along with The Joker and a few other baddies, in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie released August 5th.

PA Anna: I was confused by this shirt. I did not know there was a dark Link. J is super ecstatic about the t-shirt. T wants it for himself because it has a dark Link. Sorry, T, it is a child’s medium. Holding the t-shirt away from yourself to make it look bigger will not work with mom.

T: We have a Legend of Zelda and Star Wars mashup here. “Welcome to the” is Star Wars style lettering, while “Dark Side” is in Legend of Zelda style lettering, particularly, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The Death Star is shown in the background, along with 4 TIE fighters and Darth Vader himself! You can’t get any more on the dark side than that! Dark Link is also featured, holding a red lightsaber, used only by the bad guys in Star Wars movies. Dark Link is a shadowy counterpart to Link, making several appearances throughout the main games and in games like Super Smash Bros. He is shown here as a dark version of Toon Link. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has recently been pushed back to a March 2017 release date. Fingers crossed that Dark Link makes an appearance!

I feel bad that J missed out on unboxing the June Super Geek Box although T was ready to help out. J is going to love the Meowth Wallet and the drawstring bag. T is eyeing up everything else. Everything is family friendly and can also be enjoyed by fans of various fandoms. They did a great job with the villain theme!
