Sure, it can be kind of a thing to pack everything up and haul it out of the kitchen, but that’s just where the items in this month’s kit come in.
The booklet contains a curator letter and the story of each artisan featured in the box.

I am ready to have a picnic outside if it stops raining long enough. I love how the bottle basket matches the blanket.
The Peace Picnic Basket ($30.00) is made by Peace Handicrafts, which trains and employs deaf, disabled and unprivileged people. The backing is made out of upcycled material that stands up against the rugged ground. The fabric side is soft. I took the pictures when there was a break in the rain and noticed no soaking through to the fabric side of the blanket. I don’t know if it is waterproof, but it seems to be a good blanket to use when the ground is wet. We will be putting the blanket to good use this summer!
I am excited to receive the Neem Wood Travel Cutting Board ($15.00) which is handcarved by a small cooperative of 24 artisans. There had been times when traveling that a cutting board would have made sandwich making much easier. I will be packing this board up whenever we travel as a family. Imagine how beautiful the board will look with an array of cheeses and fruits.
The beautiful stainless steel cup was made by Dilshad Hussain and his group of stainless steel artisans located outside Moradabad, India. They work exclusively with Noah’s Ark, which runs three schools, provides the families of 700 artisans free health care and access to clean water and more. The cup is gorgeous. Are you ready for a refreshing drink?
You need a refreshing beverage to pour into the beautiful Color Travel Cup. The Palm Leaf Bottle Basket ($12.00) is the June Basket Substitute. It is approximately 11 inches high and is handwoven by weavers in Oaxaca, Mexico. The intricate design makes it a stylish choice for transporting your choice of refreshments.
I extended the Palm Leaf Bottle Basket as far as I was able which is why it looks lopsided.
