FL2 Fabletics for Men June 2016 Review + 50% Off Coupon

I needed a couple pairs of comfy shorts for everyday active wear, so FL2 was, or course, my first stop.  FL2 is a monthly men’s sports and athletic clothing subscription from Fabletics.  FL2 offers a range of elite workout gear and lifestyle essentials in great high-performance fabrics for working out or wearing wherever. It’s a boutique/showroom subscription – every month you get suggested outfits, pick one, or skip (or be charged for the month). This sort of curated shopping experience still gives you choice while making selecting new items easy.

Everything in my June FL2 Fabletics Men box!  Like traditional Fabletics, FL2 offers clothing items as both single pieces and as parts of sets.  I like picking out sets (and they often have great deals on them), but I needed some more shorts this month and went for those instead.  Each pair came bagged separately within the outer shipping bag.

Poise Short ($49.95):  I needed some shorts for working around the house and running errands, so I chose the Poise Short with that in mind.  If I’m leaving the house, I always have at least a wallet, (giant) phone and keys, and my phone and keys don’t play well together in the same pocket.  The drawstring waist is accompanied by thick elastic waistband, and it keeps my shorts up even when my pockets are loaded — the thick band also resists rolling.   The fabric is very soft, stretchy, and comfortable, and it looks a bit like wetsuit material, though it is far more pliable.

The back pocket zips, which is great for tucking a credit card or a few bills in.

The two hip pockets have vertical openings, but the bottom of each is flat, so contents sit at the bottom of the pocket instead of launching back out of the opening.

All Ways Chino Short ($59.95):  This short has a beautiful chambray look to it, along with a classic structure.  The front is zip and snap, and the zipper has a nice rubber tip on it.  Belt loops make these shorts suitable as golf or company picnic shorts.  The fabric is surprisingly light — I was expecting something similar to chino pants or khakis in weight, but these ultra thin and more akin to parachute pants.  The fabric even has a bit of slickness to it.

Along with the diagonal mouthed side pockets, there is a smaller zippered hip pocket to secure small items.

The back has an open pocket, too.  I can’t believe how light these shorts are! They have a jeggings quality to them, in that they look like a medium weight dress pant, but they wear like a running short.  Very cool and comfy.

The FL2 collection is great for workout clothing, but I also love it as casual and lounge wear — it’s ideal for playing with the kids or doing house or yard work — anything where range of motion and comfort is desirable.   Plus, it’s also sharp enough to run errands in without feeling schlubby!
