Box of Blessings Subscription Box Review & Coupon- June 2016

The Box of Blessings by International Blessings sends 3-4 jewelry or other handcrafted items by artisans around the world. International Blessings is working to empower 3rd world artisans by creating sustainable livelihoods and healthy families which break the poverty cycle. $3.00 from every box is donated to the cause of the month. The box sumsit up! Breaking the poverty cycle helps keep parents and children from being forced into human trafficking, dying from curable diseases and more.

The booklet provides information on what countries are featured each month, the cause of the month, and information about the items included in the box. The June theme is Eco-Friendly.

The cause for June is Heifer Intl. The $3.00 donation will be used to help break the poverty cycle. Another charity I recognize!

The booklet also includes a description of the items in the box.

Here are the items for the June 2016 Box of Blessings! Ooh! I love the brown and greens.

The Aboriginal Earrings from Peru are gorgeous. The lightweight earrings are made out of bamboo which you can tell from the back of the earring. The fronts are painted with a tribal looking design and are smooth. I love the design and colors. I would wear them if I was able! I am going to take them apart and use them for something else.

The next two items are from companies that work with Minga Imports. I wasn’t able to find the earrings on the Minga Imports website.

I almost melted over the cover. Kangaroos! The Ellie Pooh Small Notebook – Kangaroo is made out of elephant dung! The kangaroo notebook is my third or fourth Ellie Pooh Notebook. Not a single one smelled like elephant poop to the disappointment of my seven year old.

The three strand stretchy Acai & Coco Disc Bracelet are made from dyed acai seeds. The disc in the middle is a polished coconut disc! I love, love, love the color. It reminds me of being outdoors. I found it comfortable to wear and will be wearing it often.

The jewelry was packaged in the box which was a nice touch.

I  knew this box would be a favorite of mine when I saw the colors and the kangaroo! The items in the Box of Blessings are beautiful items created by skilled artisans. All three items are well-made.  It’s a wonderful box for those looking to support impoverished artisans and empower them and their communities while also support a monthly cause.
