Here are all the items in the May 2016 Arcade Block. J is ecstatic about the Legend of Zelda shirt.

Legend of Zelda Triforce T-Shirt
Legend of Zelda Triforce T-Shirt

T has been too busy with summer activities to assist me in writing the review. Here’s J’s point of view.

J (age 7): The giant triangle is the Triforce. The top triangle also has the Triforce in it. The bottom left is Link’s castle from his childhood. The middle triangle is the Master Sword that he pulls out in the middle of the game. I am not sure what the tree means.

PA Anna: Too bad T missed out on seeing the shirt. The graphic is amazing. The t-shirt is a Gildan heavy cotton t-shirt. It’s a great exclusive t-shirt for Legend of Zelda fans. Nintendo confirmed at the E3 2016 that a new Legend of Zelda game is in the making and will have an open world environment.

T (age 17) I’m baaack! The Triforce is made up of three golden triangles. The top triangle features a loftwing and the Triforce which is the Hylian Crest. The black triangle features the Master Sword in its pedestal. The golden triangle on the left is the Hyrule castle where Princess Zelda lives. The golden triangle on the right is the Deku tree. He sends Link on an adventure in Ocarina of Time.

Super Mario Bros Build a Level Magnet
Super Mario Bros Build a Level Magnet

J: It’s from Super Mario Maker which lets you build your own game. The magnets are pretty cool which allows you to make your own thing on the fridge.

PA Anna: The Super Mario Bros. Build A Level Magnet  ($10.49) is a fun way to build a level on the fridge. J loves it!

Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare Tin
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Tin

J: It’s pretty cool. It opens up on both sides.

PA Anna: I am glad that this is not happening in my garden! The Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Tin is reminiscent of the old style lunchboxes.  The game was released in February 2016 with a large update schedule this summer. J is fascinated by the tin and is using it to store his treasures.

NES Controller Pin and Zelda Life Heart Bumper Stickers
NES Controller Pin and Zelda Life Heart Bumper Stickers – Both Exclusive

It’s a flashback to the 80s! The  Exclusive NES Controller Pin brings back memories of me playing the first versions of Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. Who knew I would be playing those games years later with my children? The pin has two backings which keep it from rotating. The Exclusive Zelda Life Hearts Bumper Sticker takes me back to a time when vehicles were covered in bumper stickers. I am sure this bumper sticker is on a wall in his room. T will be disappointed in his mom for photographing it upside down.

T: Mom! You are embarrassing me!

Durotan Plush

Durotan is one of the good guys in the Warcraft movie which is now out in theaters.

J’s favorite item in the May box was the Legend of Zelda t-shirt even though he is not allowed to play the game. The magnets are a close second. He liked all the items although he was unsure what to think of Durotan. J enjoyed all the items even though he was familiar with Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros only. Arcade Block is an excellent choice for gamers that like knowing that the majority of the items received are Exclusives and are in synch with what is happening in the gaming world.
