This is one of the funnest boxes around. Unboxing the Bizarre is a box that celebrates wacky and off the wall holidays each month.  I was really intrigued when I saw this box since it was so big and I couldn’t tell what was inside. I couldn’t wait to open it up.

First look and I couldn’t really tell what was in there but it was big.  I also loved the postcard and the dancing frog. It was just too cute.

The back of the Thanks a Million Card was a fun coloring shoe.  This month’s box is celebrating the holidays of Star Wars Day, Space Day, National Golf Day, and World Lindy Hop Day.

Everything in the box and you could pretty much tell which items were for which holiday but the back of the info cards tell more about each one too.

May 4 Star Wars Day:

Darth Vader Blanket ($39.98) – This is the one holiday I had heard of this month and we do celebrate at my house. My boys are huge Star Wars fans and when they saw this they immediately ran off with it.  It says it is a twin size blanket and if that is all it is oversized which we love and it is so soft and fluffy.

May 6th Space Day:

Neapolitan Astronaut Ice Cream ($2.56) – I had no clue there was a Space Day and I remember being all excited for this space food when I was younger and I remember it not tasting good at all.  My boys are excited for this though and I’m going to open it on Space Day for them.  They will think its great and we’ll also try and do activities that go along with the Math, science, technology and engineering that the day promotes.

May 18 National Golf Day:

Fore!!! Desktop Mini-golf ($8.93) – Another day I’ve never heard of but it sounds fun to me.  I’m not much for golfing but my hubby does and my 8 year old keeps asking about it which this reminded me of.  We need to see about getting him out to play one day but until then he can play with this one on his desk.

May 26 World Lindy Hop Day:

Swing Dance Volume 1 CD ($2.98) – I am by no means a dancer but I do love to watch all the dancing shows on TV so I’ve actually heard of the Lindy Hop and of Swing Dance.  While I’ve never heard of this holiday I do think it will be fun to stop drop and dance so I’m adding it to my calendar.

This was a really fun box and I would say it lived up to the hype or bizarre.  I can’t wait to see what other holidays they discover and send in future boxes.  I like that they give a little history of the holiday they are celebrating so that I can work at celebrating with them on the day.
