Petite Fours Treats Box April 2016 review

Here are the treats in this month’s box!  The theme is Spring, but most are clearly Easter inspired.

Petite Fours Treats Box April 2016 (1)

Petite Fours Carob and Yogurt Decorated Eggs ($7.99):  I wish our Easter eggs were this pretty!  A peanut butter based dough is used to form the cookie, and the beautiful detail of the eggs is applied by hand using yogurt/carob icing.

Petite Fours Treats Box April 2016 (2)

Petite Fours Spring Blossoms ($7.99):  These lovely blooms are also peanut butter based with carob/yogurt icing.  I was impressed that the flowers had a different color palette than the eggs.

Petite Fours Treats Box April 2016 (3)

Petite Fours Chick & Bunny Eggs ($3.99):  Peanut butter based cookie dough with carob icing.  These are so cute!  The painted grass on the bunny egg is really cool.

Petite Fours Treats Box April 2016 (4)

Petite Fours Pawbury Bunnies ($3.99):  This pair is made with a sweet potato based cookie and decorated with yogurt/carob icing.  I like the way each bunny is a negative image of the other.

IMG_8877 The cookies were really delicious (I took my dog’s word for it).  She gobbled them — she isn’t crazy about peanut butter, but she loved the peanut butter cookies.  The one issue we had with the cookies was that they were almost too pretty — we were a bit reluctant to see them eaten, and our toddler didn’t seem to believe they were actually dog cookies and not for him!

If you really want to spoil your dog, this is a super cute way to do it!

I love the idea of this box! I usually get my brother’s dog cookies for holidays. The small boutiques are pricey, but Petland has big cookies for only $2.50/each.

Lindy is just crazy about the cookies! She usually likes them but isn’t WILD about them. These were a hit.
