Pearlesque Box is a monthly subscription box that features skincare products from around the world that are all non-toxic and natural – with a new destination each month! The person behind Farmaesthetics is a trailblazer for “green”beauty. The information card provides additional information on each product along with price.

I appreciate that everything was well protected because a few items are in glass containers.

We have four wonderful summer items from Farmaesthetics  in the June 2016 Pearlesque box. Branda Brock, owner, began selling handmade herbal skincare in 1999 at an organic farmstand in Rhode Island. Today her product can be found in the finest spas and retailers around the world. She also maintains a store in Newport, Rhode Island.

The Nourishing Lavender Milk (8 oz, $39.00)has a pleasant lavender floral scent to it. The moisturizing formula was voted “Favorite Organic Product” by Harper’s Bazaar beauty editors. It is a face lotion that moisturizes, even skin tone, help with scars, and ease inflammation. It works best when applied to damp skin. It can also be used on the body. My sister volunteered to try it out for me because it has witch hazel in it. She loved it and swore that she saw an improvement in her facial skin. I don’t think she is going to leave my house unless I let her take this home! I was a little surprised to see Borax as an ingredient which may not be viewed favorably by all.

It’s not often that I get to write about beauty products that were featured in The Wall Street Journal. The Tanysnella Organic Bugscreen (4 oz, $18.00) repels insects, mosquitoes, and black flies by using essential oils. My sister volunteered to test it while planting flowers. She loved it. It felt luxurious on her skin and did not have an overwhelming citronella scent. She experienced no issues with bugs.

It did leak a little in my box leaving a strong citronella scent for me to smell when I opened it. It does bother me that there is no pump or eye dropper for the bugscreen. It has an oil-like consistency which makes it easy to overdo if you are pouring it straight from the body. I have extra pumps and droppers in my house, so it is not an issue for me but it is something that people should be aware of to avoid wasting product. It can be rub directly onto your skin or mix it with a sunscreen or lotion according to Farmaesthetics. I can see my sister slipping this into her suitcase!

Wow! This mask is $25.00 per ounce. The Herbal Hydration Complex-Remedy Reserve Mask (2 oz, $50.00) is an Earth Day Beauty Award Winner for Best 5-Minute Complexion Makeover. The consistency is more like a liquid. I expected it to drip, but it did not. It is a reparative and maintenance mask that can help with sunburn, redness, irritation, rosacea, acne, mature skin and more. Five minutes is all it takes. Gently place on face and neck, relax for five minutes, and remove with warm cloth. I plan to try it twice a week if my skin continues to respond well to it.

The travel-size Cool Aloe Mist (1 oz, $12.00) is our favorite item from the June Pearlesque Box. It’s a wonderful feeling to come in from the heat and spray the Cool Aloe Mist on our face and neck. It cooled us down instantly and helped soothe our skin. It has a pleasant blended scent of lavender and bergamot. I can see this item being accidentally packed in my sister’s suitcase.

My sister was excited to find out she would be at my house when the June Pearlesque Box arrived. She saw the spoilers and wanted to try out the products to decide if she was going to order a June box or maybe try to make off with my box! We both enjoyed the items in the box and felt that they worked as described. There are three full-size items and one deluxe size item which makes it easy to know if the products are working for you.
