Nerd Block is a monthly mystery geek & gamer subscription box. Every month includes a new shirt and Nerd Block boxes are typically filled with fun toys and figurines and other geek accessories. It really is a box for everyone who enjoys nerdy and pop culture things.
Looking pretty nerdy already!
The theme for May was Classic Theme and the featured item was a Stay Puft!
As usual, the other items are on the back of the card.
And everything in this month’s box!
Marvel Iron Man Mini Mug ($12.99) This mini mug is so cute! I totally failed to get a picture of my hand with it for sizing, but if you scroll back up you can see the size of it in relation to the Funko POP! (universal geek subscription box measuring tool).
It’s not all that big, so if you wanted to use it for espresso you could power up just like Iron Man, or just use it for a cool pencil mug or to gather whatever small items you have.
There’s also a Captain America Mini Mug that some subscribers received. My son sidled up to me and said… I’ll take this for my collection! And off it went!
Nerd Block Exclusive “OUTATIME” License Plate Pin: Enamel pins are all. the. rage. For everyone. Instagram fashionistas, dapper dudes, geeks, kids, 2016 is the year of the enamel pin. And this one is awesomesauce. Obviously a nod to Back To The Future.
I was really happy to see that it has two posts to make sure it stays in the orientation you want it to when you pin it on! This was a super geektastic item!
Etch-A-Sketch Sticky Notes ($4.99) Ahhh Etch A Sketch! You’re so not obsolete, we still love you!
This is a cute sticky note set and I think my husband is going to use it to draw cute lunch notes for our kids!
Nerd Block Exclusive Rick & Morty T-Shirt: The design this month is from Adult Swim’s Rick & Morty and I think the concept/sketch art design is neat!
16 Candles Funko Pop! Vinyl Figure – Long Duck Dong ($11.98) The 16 Candles POP!s were just released so it was awesome to get one straight away in the box! Subscribers received either Long, Jake, or Claire.
I thought it was awesome to get Long – Funko is digging deep into the characters and not just sending out the main ones. While some of the humor of Dong’s character doesn’t translate well to current day, he brought a bit of diversity to the typical John Hughes cast. The POP of course from this scene!
Nerd Block Exclusive Marshmallow Man Plush: He’s the cutest terrifying monster made of marshmallows ever! The Ghostbusters remake releases July 15, so there’s plenty of time to get fluffed up for it.

I can’t say that the plushie has any fidelity to the character, but it’s a fun item.
I kinda wish that Nerd Block had printed their box to turn inside out so I could have a building to photograph him next to! Next month will include Ghostbusters, Harry Potter, and Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy! Check out the spoilers for June here.
I thought this was a fun box with a good variety – plenty of old school classics to geek out to, except the Rick & Morty shirt kinda didn’t fit the theme of the other items.
