Loot Pets May 2016 Review & Coupon

Loot Pets is a monthly subscription from Loot Crate! Every month they select an assortment of geeky gear for your dog that matches the Loot Crate theme for the month.  I love the pawprints on the box! If you’re wondering the color of this box is dark taupe, not black.

This month’s theme was POWER!  Love the turkey legs!

Loot Pets has lost the magazine and the information card shows the items included in the box.

The card can also be cut into collectible cards, although I am not sure if anyone would collect these! I was totally fine without the magazine.

Kong AirDog Squeaker Dumbbell ($11.70) This is a double ended Kong squeaker and it’s WAY too big for my dog. We’ll gift it to the next door neighbors but I feel like maybe they should use the shirt sizes and send an appropriate size toy?

Lootpets Exclusive Chicken Chargers: These were a hit, which is unsurprising. The Loot Pets treats are amongst Lindy’s favorites.

Mega Man Rush Human and Dog T-shirt: Last month we decided that our kids would be delighted if they had a matching shirt for Lindy’s – so I switched our shirt to XS in our account (all shirts in this subscription are unisex). I actually wish that Loot Crate would offer more youth sizes, but they’re always fine with whatever size shirt – they love wearing their geek shirts. Our daughter agreed that because MegaMan is BLUE that our son got to keep this one, but she’s really excited for next month!

The shirt features MegaMan and his dog Rush. I think they should have put Rush on the human shirt and MegaMan on the dog shirt.

It’s hard to catch a boy and his dog looking at the camera at the same time. This was far from my favorite month of this subscription. Frankly, it felt a little light, especially as the too-large dog toy wasn’t of use to us, and indeed, there’s one fewer item than previous boxes.

I see now why they are doing matching human & dog shirts right in Loot Pets, because they’re starting to change the theme a bit from the rest of the boxes – you can see the spoilers for next month on our Loot Pets Spoilers page! The theme is DOGTOPIA, a happy shiny twist on the rest of the Loot Crate themes for June (which are Dystopia)! Also, international subscribers should know that Loot Pet replaces the treats with a different item for international shipment.
