Fruits & Passion May 2016 Passion Box Subscription – LIVE Box Review

Fruits & Passion has started a new subscription box, in two flavours: DARE is for new and innovative products, and LIVE is for the fan favourites that everyone knows and loves. Skip a box, switch between themes, or change the frequency — it’s super easy to do! I’ll be reviewing one of each box to see which I like more. I’m a big F&P fan and their Cucina soap is a staple in my kitchen!

The information sheet this month introduces some of the most popular products.

Everything was packaged in paper and bubble wrap as needed — there was more paper stuffed in the box to keep items from shifting. So many things to unwrap, and I spotted the Cucina right away!

Cucina Sea Salt & Amalfi Lemon Refill (1L for $28.50 CAD) This is a different scent than what I received in the DARE box last month, and I think I prefer this one! It’s a fresh lemon scent which always yells CLEAN! at me. These refills are huge, and at around $30 tax-in, they’re the high value item in both boxes so far.

Sanguinelli Orange and Fennel Dish Detergent ($9) This smells soooo good, and I don’t even like fennel. It smells very citrusy but with a bit of spice to it. This is also a HUGE bottle and will probably last me eight years given how rarely I hand-wash dishes.

Honey Pack ($18) This is a facial treatment that has honey in it, and smells like it too! (And looks like it… it looks edible.) This is a mask to soothe tired skin.

Grapefruit Guava Shower Gel ($12.50) I hate the taste of grapefruit, but I love anything grapefruit-scented. This shower gel reminds me a lot of The Body Shop’s grapefruit fragrance, but the guava makes it a bit sweeter. This worked really well in the shower; it lathers up nice and doesn’t dry out your skin.

Like in the DARE box, I was also sent three more sheet masks to try!

Invigorating ($2) With green tea to hydrate and revitalise.

Purifying ($2) With seaweed to help purify and cleanse.

Anti-Aging ($2) With collagen to firm up skin.

The LIVE box had a combined value of $74 (this is about $60US)! They promise a $70+ value and they definitely kept their promise. There was some overlap between the DARE and LIVE boxes — both included the masks and Cucina soap. I don’t see this as a subscription I would keep to monthly, just because there is so much product and I couldn’t possibly get through all of it in just a month (especially the soaps!) but the quarterly subscription sounds like it would work better for me.
