Birchbox will sometimes stick fun titles in front of your name. This month I am remarkable!

It’s a polarizing box for me. I am excited about a few brands and dislike a particular brand.

Here’s my May BirchBox. My sunscreen sample is tiny!

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo

The Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo ($3.39) is a weightless dry shampoo that is safe for color hair. It’s aptly named for a dry shampoo. It absorbs excess dirt and oil while leaving your hair look shining. It’s a nice travel size for your gym bag. It’s made in the USA. I don’t use dry shampoo and am disappointed to see it in my box especially after receiving a dry conditioner in my April Box.

Coola Classic Face Sport SPF 50 White Tea

My tiny Pick Your Sample Choice is the Coola Classic Face Sport 50 White Tea Sunscreen ($3.20).  I do believe that the name is bigger than the size of my sample. I do like the Coola product line and am eager to try out the sunscreen. Plus I will have the sense of accomplishment of quickly finishing a sample!

I love the color of the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick ($9.25). The Lychee color is a beautiful matte rose color. It is suggested that you use an oil base remover to take off the lipstick. I agree because all soap and water did was smeared it all over my arm. I ended up using coconut oil to remove it. I like lipstick minis because I don’t usually finish a full-size lipstick. We were losing sunlight so no lip picture this time.

Laura Geller New York

I am going to give the Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Even Tone Make Up Primer ($8.00) a try. I am going to have confidence that since the word Spackle is in the name that it can cover up the redness in my face from the rosacea. We will see if the primer is up to the challenge! It’s also gives a soft glow. It is made in Italy.

Real Chemsitry
Real Chemistry

I know that Real Chemistry has a cult following. However, the company ranks right up with dry shampoos on my do not want list. The Real Chemistry Luminous 2-Minute Peel in Exhilarating Grapefruit ($7.50 according to the back of the package) fits the out to doors theme well. The paraben, sulfate, and phthalate-free formula is great to use before a spray tan. It also addresses issues such as keratosis, eczema, body acne, ingrown hairs, blackheads, and whiteheads. It’s made in China.

My May Birchbox is valued over $30.00. I am not fond of receiving Amika dry hair products or Real Chemistry. I do love the Coola, Jouer, and Laura Gellar products. The lipstick made the box for me. I give BirchBox credit for including a large enough sample size of the Real Chemistry Body Peel for those that want to try it. The Amika dry shampoo can easily fit in a gym bag. Overall, I am satisfied with my box!

Love Amika dry shampoo. Thank goodness, because I receive it in about every Birchbox or Ipsy sub month. There are other products and brands out there right? I am interested to try Real Chemistry body peel. I am disappointed at the amount of product in package. I guess it was made for a smaller body than mine! I guess I’ll just have one bangin’ forearm!

I get two boxes each month and did not receive any of the items you did. I love Laura Geller products and her “spackle” is the best primer I have used. She has so many varieties I can’t say if it will hide your rosacea or not. Her spackle was originally developed to help makeup go on smoother and prevent foundation from seeping into your skin.

I swear by the Amika dry shampoo, so I would have loved this box, LOL!

    That lipgloss colour looks beautiful.

My box came with 4 samples, but they already shipped the replacement for the missing item. I’m placing all my bets on it, because the other 4 were just ok. I got the tiny coola sunscreen, a perfume sample, a body scrub, and a blush/bronzer duo (so far, my favorite item for the month).

I really wanted to try a dry shampoo for the first time, but somehow I manage to escape from it every month and in all beauty boxes I subscribe. 😛

I keep telling myself that the dry shampoo will be useful one day. I clicked over to see what you were missing. It is a travesty that they did not include the Beauty Protector!

I hope you receive a dry shampoo next month. It’s got to come at some point!
