Beauteque offers two subscriptions featuring Asian beauty products delivered to your door monthly. Products include makeup, skin care, body care, and more. For $22 per month, your BB Bag comes with 6-8 full size products. If you like masks, the Mask Maven subscription brings you 9-11 various masks monthly starting at $14. The following is a review of the April BB Bag.
First look in. I see a few things that didn’t fit inside the bag!
Out of the box – undereye patches and eyelashes . This month’s theme is Big City Beauty Secrets.

My BB Bag unpacked!
Somoon Dog Nose Pore 3-Step Pack ($5.99): Not just another nose strip, this pack has 3 steps to treat blackheads and excess oil on the nose. Step 1 opens pores and melts sebum. Step 2 uses an adhesive strip to remove remaining black- and whiteheads, along with other impurities, from pores. Finally, Step 3 provides soothing extracts to calm the skin and works to tighten pores. Be advised that this pack takes about 45 minutes to complete. I did notice some skin sensitivity with step one, so if you have sensitive skin I would advise you to avoid this product. Each step requires you to wear a patch for 15-20 minutes. I don’t have an issue with my nose pores, so I saw a minimal difference.
Dr. Morita Q10 Firming Eye Mask ($9.00): This was a full box of 8 packets. Q10 works as an antioxidant, providing valuable nutrients to the skin. The mask brightens dark under eye circles and minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I received a similar Dr. Morita eye mask in another subscription and can’t wait to see how this compares.
Seatree Art Moisture Mist ($10.99): The information card price is listed here, but online this is $12.99. Little bit of a Beauteque discrepancy. First of all, let me say how much I like the decorative wrap on the bottle – these come in several different designs. This mist uses white lily and vitamin C to rejuvenate skin. Use before or after applying makeup or anytime you need a little bit of moisture or to feel refreshed. I keep mists with me at work. They’re a great little pick me up after some time outside.
Baviphat Urban Dollkiss Mango Magic Brightening Mask ($21.00): This isn’t available on the Beauteque shop yet. I love the molded mango jar. The mask uses oxygenating bubbles to deep clean the skin. Plus, the mango scent is super yummy! Some subscribers may have received the Peach All-in-One Peeling Gel as an alternate.
The mango mask came with a small spoon to help scoop it out of the jar. How cute is this!?!
My niece was not a willing tester of the mask. But you can see that it goes from a gel to a white foam when applied. You could hear the mask bubbling, and she said her face felt soft after rinsing off.
The Saem Saemmul Easy Eyeliner in black ($9.99): This is also not available on the Beauteque shop yet. It is an easy glide automatic eyeliner pencil. The formula is long lasting and smudge proof. This arrived at a perfect time, I was about to throw out my nub of an eyeliner.
Toyoepin 2-in-1 Permanent Crazy Mini Natural False Lash ($7.99): These are natural, handmade lashes that represent that “kawaii” look. These do not come with lash adhesive. I am not super skilled with false lashes, so it’s nice that I got 2 pairs – one can be for practice.
Swatch of the eyeliner. The color is rich; this is only one pass.
And last, but not least, the BB Bag. This is a hot pink vinyl bag with a fabric-lined interior. It’s a little bit shorter than most of the other bags that I’ve gotten, but I like the size – it takes up less space in my purse. Plus the vinyl makes it easy to clean; just wipe with a damp cloth.
On a Side Note: Before trying any Asian cosmetic subscription, expect that most information on the package will be in the native language. That said, more and more brands are including directions/ingredients in English, and information can also be found in English on the majority of brands’ websites (you may have to choose a brand’s global or US site). Secondly, a large number of products focus on brightening or whitening the skin. As a person of color, I have not seen my skin color change. Instead, I’ve experienced that my skin tone gets evened out after prolonged use. However, your results may be different. And lastly, many products contain ingredients which are animal-derived, so these may not be an option if you are vegan. You can also check out cosDNA.com to see if the ingredients for the product are listed there.
