Inside our box!  Looks like we’re celebrating nature this month.

The information card provides a brief description of each item and some information on PawPack’s focus for the month.

Dear PawPackers,

What a special month it is!  This month we are celebrating our earth and trees.  Earth Day is April 22nd and Arbor Day is April 29th and without our beautiful planet and trees we wouldn’t be here.  What are some ways you and your pup are helping the environment?  We would love to hear from you!  Are you planting a tree?  Cleaning up trash?  Take a picture of you and your pet(s) helping the earth and use the hashtag #PawPack4Earth for a chance to be featured in our newsletter.

Everything in this month’s box.

Beco Jungle Knot Rope – small ($4.32 converted from £):  Bright pink, blue, and green cotton strands entwine to make a tough and durable twisted rope design.  Made from natural hemp, the Beco Rope toys are eco-friendly and able to withstand hours of play.   No pesticides are used in the growing process, and it’s better for your dog because it has very short fibers which are more easily digestible.  These are available in 3 styles, with 3 sizes for each.  Lily took to the rope, and a long game of Tug-o-War ensued.  Last month, we received the Beco ball, and it is still Lexi’s favorite toy.  So, I was happy to see more items from this brand.

Beco Bowl – small ($5.76 converted from £):  These bowls are made from waste plant fibers found in bamboo and rice husks.  They are completely sustainable to produce and biodegradable when finished with.   Beco Bowls are dishwasher friendly and last for years in the home.   They are available in 5 sizes and 5 colors.  The bowl is a bit big for my girls (they needed the x-small), so this will be gifted.

Barker’s Tree Toy – Sycamore small ($11.99):   I did find this toy for $6.49 here.  This plush toy features realistic looking bark fabric and tree branch arms that pull through, plus a squeaker.  Maybe it will stop my girls from sneaking leaves into the house.  It is available in two styles, with two sizes each.

GoGo Back Strap Chew ($5.99):  Made from beef ligaments that are cleaned and then roasted to enhance their true beef flavor with a crunchy texture dogs love.  This was big enough that I was able to split it so that each girl got a piece.

Tucker’s Barkin’ Blends – Beef & Bacon ($8.49):  These freeze-dried treats are made with two ingredients – beef liver and bacon.  I gave them to the girls as a treat, and Lily gobbled it straight down.  Lexi ate hers after playing with it for a bit.  I haven’t tried this as a topper, but I think the girls will enjoy it as part of their meal.  I could not find these on the Tucker’s website.

Limited ingredient content of the Barkin’ Blends.

Lily and Lexi were not feeling the camera.  No fun pictures this month.

Lexi – “No pictures, please.”

Lily – “Yummy, treat!”

The April box was a bit underwhelming, and is valued at $31 using the lower price for the tree toy.   Even if I had used the higher price for the toy, this PawPack  did not cover the cost for a single month.  I’m hoping that May will make up for it, but in the meantime, the girls are enjoying the items they received.  How did your fur baby like their box?  Let me know with a comment below.
