Oui Please Box April 2016 box

Oui Please is a French luxury subscription – every parcel contains an assortment of full-size products from France.

A giant card on the top says L’Amour – Love. Volume 2.1 is La Vie en Rose.

Oui Please Box April 2016 (1)

The Oui Please box is gorgeous and high quality.

If you recall – I forgot that my subscription was 6 boxes. The last box was a surprise but I knew this one was coming.

However – Oui Please sent out an email a while back promising up and down that this box (2.1) would ship by March 15. I received it April 13.

The items are neatly wrapped in a pink bow.

A mini-mag comes with the box – it details all the item variations (subscribers don’t all receive the same box) and makers. Values vary accordingly.

Oui Please Box April 2016 review

Everything in my vol 2.1 box. Note this subscription has a tendency to misprice – in a very significant way. Although the value of the box is always much higher than the cost of the box, it’s always much lower than the retail values they attach to the items.

La Fare 1789 Intense Night Cream (€16, roughly $18) A french organic brand, this night cream was thick and rich and perfect for hydrating dry skin.

The Hibiscus has rare regenerative qualities, it promotes cell renewal, and Edelweiss remineralizes deeply, Sesame is a powerful antioxidant that plays an important role in the rejuvenation of the skin, and Macadamia improves microcirculation for a fresh and radiant skin.

Oliv’ LaClaree Smoothing Eye Gel (€36.12, roughly $40) This eye serum was pretty thick and a bit hard to get out with the dropper – but it’s enriched with a bevy of natural active ingredients like olive leaf extract, aloe vera, edelweiss (obviously big in France), and more!

Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel ($24) This is rose scented [and was obviously a free gift with something originally] exfoliant with lychee seed and nutshell powder to remove dry, dead skin. This is paraben free and wasn’t irritating to my skin!

Le Chocolat des Francais Paris Losange Rose (€5.50, roughly $6.20)

Le Chocolat des Francais Fille Photographe (€5.50, roughly $6.20)

What pretty and chic packaging for my chocolate! Both are 70% chocolate – dark! Totally made in France.

Kusmi Tea Rose Green Tea ($4.75) I’m not a tea drinker but this is a good example of a French tea brand – Green tea with rose petals.

Oui Please Box April 2016 (11)

Galatee Leather Bracelet ($50) Oui Please always seems to come with overpriced impossibly dainty jewelry. This is a leather strap but I wasn’t really impressed with it.

The tanning wore off when I opened the bracelet to wear it.

Les Petites… Paris Scarf ($120) Exclusive to Oui Please, this is a nice standard scarf with a tropical motif.  The scarf is synthetic.
Oui Please Box April 2016 (15)

While the delay in shipping the box was much reduced, Oui Please wasn’t able to stick to its promises. The value of this box is certainly fantastic – about $269 (although far less than what it promised at the time I subscribed). I got the exact same box as you product for product. I am glad it was my last. My night cream was opened and had a big finger mark in it. The prices are inflated substantially. Although I will likely use everything or swap some, it just wasn’t exciting to open. It was more of a ‘hold your breath and pray’ while opening kind of experience. Cause you just never know with Oui Please what you are in for. It’s not really a good kind of surprise!

I received the same items minus the bracelet. Contacted their support and they said they would be sending me a replacement. My box value was only $239 of the $400 promised. So sad because the last box was such an improvement. I just can’t imagine they will actually send me something worth at least $100 to make up for the low value but I am trying to be positive.

There is no way in the world that I would value that scarf at $120. $60 maybe. It’s synthetic, not even silk. And that bracelet is ridiculous. It looks a bit like something that you might find in a tourist shop.
