Debonair Scent Box April 2016 box

Debonair Scent is a monthly subscription box that brings designer and niche cologne brands right to your door.  At only $15 per month, it’s a super-thrifty way to check out new fragrances to either build your collection or audition a new signature fragrance for yourself.

Each month, Debonair Scent sends three authentic colognes from international designers — they arrive in an attractive box and an info card detailing each scent.

The information card has details about the  composition, scent notes, and recommend use of each fragrance.  Particular attention is paid to noting the year in which each fragrance was introduced — I’m not clear why this is noted so prominently.

Each of the three selections comes in its own sprayer.  The caps to the sprayers are a little delicate — they bend out of shape easily — but the sprayers worked well.  Most importantly, the fragrances are genuine, rebottled fragrances from the designers, so they are of the highest quality.  The April scents are Versace Eros, Azzaro Pour Homme, and Gucci Guilty Intense.

Gucci Guilty Intense:  Mandarin orange and pink peppercorn open the fragrance, with the main body comprising lilac and powdery floral notes.  A base of amber and patchouli provides a masculine, lasting finish — the floral notes subside a bit, leaving a more masculine sillage.

Versace Eros:  Scents of mint and green apple develop shortly after application — the fragrance is actually extremely light when first applied.  Tonka, vanilla and vetiver create a sweet, powdery base that that lingers once the zesty botanical notes have calmed.

Azzaro Pour Homme:  Sandalwood and musk notes have great longevity, persisting after the bold and spicy head notes dissipate.  Lavender and a powerful basil fragrance create an intense herbal leading note.

Debonair Scent is a great sampler subscription for men who either love to rotate their scent, or those looking for a new scent to adopt.  It provides real designer fragrances and saves you the upfront commitment to investing in a whole bottle.  The scents are wearable and not too far outside the box, so its a save and economical way to explore the world of fragrance.

Horrible experence with Debonair Scent (debonairscent.com). My Credit Card was been charged and i have a small issue with my account on their website. All i need is a simple reply to my emails. As yet (10 days and counting on the 11 Jan) i have not recieved any reply from them.

They dont reply to emails, Facebook or Twitter. They dont have a telephone number cal, im not even sure they are still trading.

    BEWARE.

I unfortunately share Cozzer’s experience. I paid $40 on 11/30 and have yet to receive anything. They’ve taken down their phone number and removed the Contact and Support links from their site, as well as removing the “Message Now” and “Visitor Posts” sections from their Facebook page. They also deleted mine and seven other complainants Comments from the Comments section of the FB page. At this point it appears to be a scam, no more and no less. I have today filed a complaint with the Attorney General of the state of Texas, and disputed the CC charge and received a chargeback credit to my account. I advise him to do the same (document EVERYTHING). As he said, BEWARE!
