The Strand is now offering Book subscriptions – called The Book HookUp, there are three quarterly options – fiction first editions ($50), young adult first editions ($30), and art-photography ($55).
When you sign up for The Book HookUp, you’ll receive a “signed, first edition of a highly anticipated title along with a few literary goodies from people and places we love to sweeten the deal” (like a magazine or sample chapters). Literary partners include Penguin Random House, Chronicle Books, Quirk Books, The Paris Review, Slice Magazine and more, and “goodie” partners like Areaware, Tattly, The Found, and Matilda the Musical!
Please note that international shipments will be charged $17.99 for shipping costs and Canadian shipments will be charged $9.99 for each shipment.

Exciting. I have been reading more since I’ve started getting book boxes. They are so fun to get the surprise each month and then read my books. Of course my preferred book doesn’t require too much thinking so I can get through them pretty fast. 🙂
