Everything in my box

Dr. Jart+ Liftra Contour Cream ($6) Dr. Jart+ makes many of my grail items, all of which I have discovered in Birchbox, so I grabbed this curated box as soon as I saw that it contained a new to me Dr. Jart+ item!  This is too complicated to rewrite:

This high-tech, first-of-its-kind collagen producing cream works hard to visibly firm and add volume to skin. With a skin-fitting formula of polymer and collagen threads, it attracts moisture and elasticity for a clear complexion while lifting and tightening. Meanwhile, three kinds of peptide complex ensure all active ingredients are fully absorbed.

This made an actual visible difference in my skin instantly. I haven’t tested it with makeup yet and because it’s so hydrating I feel like it may need some significant time between application of this product and makeup, so I will be experimenting more thoroughly with it, and probably get the full size! It may be a use at night only product for me.

Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution ($3.5) Hello magic water! For me this didn’t work on ultra waterproof items but it does the job for sure on regular makeup, and is super handy! Plus it’s soothing with aloe and cucumber.

Laura Geller New York Baked Blush-n-Brighten ($6.36) I was excited to get another Laura Geller blush – I really loved the full-sized one I just got in my Beauty in Bloom LE box! The blush is baked because they cook it from liquid pigment, and it’s very pigmented, but blendable.

Subscribers received either Pink Grapefruit or Tropic Hues – I received the latter and although I was sad not to have something grapefruit, I loved the duo-tones of this blush!

Tocca Crema da Mano Hand Cream – Giulietta ($5) This is a product that I go out and buy because it’s nice and light and appropriate for all the time use. The scent on this one leans heavily towards the apple, but brings a nice floral with it too.

PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Volumizing Lifting Spray ($4.9) I love the scent of Parlor products – like peaches and grass.  Performance wise it’s a pretty standard root lifter but it smells great!

The value of the Effortlessly Elegant box this month was about $26. I was thrilled with my new Dr. Jart+ discovery so it didn’t really matter what else the box contained, but I’ll use everything and I was super happy this month!
