The information card discussed the inspiration for the box theme. Has anyone tried making the paper flowers?
My box has a springlike look to it. I recognized most of the brands and am curious about the dry conditioner.
The Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream ($2.40) in lavender has a light lavender scent. The formula is moisturizing and soothes irritated skin. It is free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. It is made in the USA.
It was only a matter of time before dry conditioner started showing up in subscription boxes for the spring! The amika Silken Up Dry Conditioner in SeaBuckthorn Berry ($3.54) can be used for all hair types. I sprayed it on a small section of my hair. I didn’t care for the scent which reminded me of hairspray. It is made in the USA.
The Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask ($4.25) is my sample choice. I’ve used it in the past although it leaves my hair slightly tangled. I leave it on for five minutes and then add on another conditioner for about a minute to get the tangles out. I have not heard of anyone else having this problem. It is free of sulfates, parabens, silicones, phthalates, artificial colors, and chemical fragrances which is why I selected it. It is made in the USA.
Birchbox kindly included two rms beauty the ultimate makeup remover wipes ($1.60). I am excited to try the wipes out because the only ingredient is certified organic coconut oil. Unfortunately, I can buy coconut oil and make my own wipes much cheaper than purchasing them. The wipe easily removed my makeup which is primer and foundation. The convenience factor is definitely there with the wipes. The wipes are made in the USA.
Birchbox broke my heart with The Beauty Crop PBJ Smoothie Stick ($14.95). It is a creamy lip crayon that glides on effortlessly.
The color is a great match for my skin tone.
My eyes are closed because it is bright outside. The color works for my skin tone although maybe not for my hair. It is formulated in Italy and made in China. It’s my personal preference not to use made in China cosmetics. It is a great color!
Birchbox included a code for Rifle Paper – valid until December 31, 2016. I will be using the coupon on Christmas gifts!
The April 2016 Birchbox is one of the better boxes for me. I am happy with my samples which mostly reflect what I look for in a beauty product. I will use all except for the lipstick and the dry conditioner which I will give to my sister. My box is valued at $26.74 which is a great value. The box design is beautiful and is a keeper. I also have last year’s Birchbox + Rifle Paper collaboration box which holds beauty foils.
