BeautyFIX is a monthly beauty subscription box from DermStore. This subscription has changed quite a bit – in 2015 it changed its name from Blush Mystery Beauty Box, and now features more sample size than full-size items (but is still an amazing deal – it’s only $24.95!).
The information card has details on each item, along with pictures, and you often get a freebie sample in your box.
Everything in the April box! FYI, you can purchase this box through the end of the month and sometimes even a little longer.
patchology FlashPatch Eye Gels ($1.67) I admit, I love a good eye gel! They’re simple to use and give your face a great pick me up almost instantly! If you’re super into masks and face gels, check out the mask subscriptions in the directory!
SmartFX Volume Extend Mascara in Black ($5.99) This mascara is also available at Dermstore for $20 but the low Amazon price makes me think there was probably some closeout stock on the Amazon ones. I needed quite a few coats but the performance was great – high definition and no flaking!
AHAVA Dead Sea Crystal Osmoter X6 Facial Serum ($12.33) This is pricy, but a little goes a long way – I applied it under my eye area last night and I am still feeling the moisture in that area. This product, which uses dead sea minerals, might be a keeper for me. Sometimes I’m afraid to try out the expensive products because I might fall in love – and I am afraid I just have!
Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat ($8.33) This is meant to be worn on bare nails to protect and strengthen. It goes on very thickly – like the “gel coat” name suggests and dries to a shiny pink-tinted finish. I painted one nail and I liked the natural-but-polished look so I’ll be doing the rest today! Perfect for in-between manicures!
CoTZ Face Natural Skin Tone SPF 40 ($3.58) I just bought a full bottle of CoTZ – I do love it already! They have a few different styles and this one provides a sheer matte finish. It’s basically like a tinted sunscreen that’s perfect as a foundation substitute in the summer. For me it’s natural looking, never white, and protects my skin!
SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 (sample) Even though it’s a tiny sample (and no amount is labeled), the product is over $80 full sized so this isn’t something to sneeze at. It’s a rich cream with ceramides so it’s perfect for my skin.
Bliss Fabulous Drench ‘n’ Quench Cream-to-Water Lock-in Moisturizer ($3.80) I had to try this right away, and I admit I wasn’t a fan! It’s strongly scented and seemed to leave residue on top of my skin. After a while that went away, just leaving the scent. :/
Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk – Natural Tint ($6.25) I love Klorane but I admit – I haven’t ever had white hair issues with their regular formula (this one is tinted for darker hair, which I have!). I don’t think this will convince me to switch to a tinted dry shampoo all the time, but this one works just as good as Klorane’s awesome regular dry shampoo!
Juice Beauty GREEN APPLE Age Defy Moisturizer ($45) HOORAY! A full size moisturizer! I think I love all of the Green Apple line – it’s especially great for me because I deal with hyperpigmentation issues and it seems to actually work! This item makes the box, and if you love it or need more of it, picking up this box (which is available through the end of the month) is a no brainer.
The total value of this box was about $87, and it was a win for me for every product but one! This box is particularly good for anyone with dry or aging skin and hair – or anyone who wants to prevent that aging from happening! It’s always high value and I’m always really happy with everything in the box – I’m also totally loving the fact that there’s been a high value item from a recognizable brand in the last couple boxes – they’ve been an auto-buy for me lately!
