BarkBox April 2016 box

Barkbox has been hitting it outta the park with its cleverly themed boxes.  Barkbox is a monthly subscription box just for dogs. Each box has 4-6 dog products and are customized to the size of your pup, plus it has a cute theme.

BarkBox is customized for the size of your dog. If you have a big dog, check out our April Barkbox Big Dog box review!

This month’s custom paper and box theme is themed around America’s pass time:  baseball. This Barkbox is for small dogs like our miniature schnauzer, Lindy.

They’ve done a fantastic job of bringing the theme to life, starting with a silly punchout picture card — think of it as an oldschool Instagram filter for your dog’s selfies.

The information card formerly gave brief details and values on each item, plus reorder codes. It now only describes this month’s collection and the featured product.

And here are this month’s cute dog items!  So adorable!

Butcher’s Block Pet Treats Beef Jerky Pretzels:  Just like at the ballpark… almost.  These all-natural “pretzels” are actually made from twisted and stamped beef jerky.  Made in the USA from nothin’ but beef.

Bark & Co. The Fire Baller Pet Toy ($10):  This plush-covered baseball leaves a blaze of durable nylon mesh in its wake — perfect for a game of toss!  Inside the baseball cover is a light, knobby ball — in combination with the drag of the tail, it keeps the ball from sailing too far afield.

Bark & Co. Yogi Barka Mitt Pet Toy ($12): This polyester toy looks just like a real baseball glove, so your dog can stop chewing on your real one.  The palm has an inset letter B and a contains a squeaker.

BarkBox April 2016 (5)Faux fur covers the wrist strap and where the opening of the glove would be.  This thing is so cute that I don’t know that I want to let my dog have it — It may be best hung over her bed or otherwise used to decorate her space.

BarkBox April 2016 (6)

Sojos Simply Wild Dog Treats ($6):  Made only of freeze dried wild boar, these treats are light and have a dog-friendly nutritional profile:  all meat.   I’ve only seen this style of treat in lung and liver, and it is cool to see meat also achieve such a light and delicate texture (it sounds odd, but the freeze dried chunks are light and airy like astronaut ice cream or meringue).

BarkBox April 2016 (7)

Nootie Barklyn Doggers Dog Treats ($6):  Made with real peanut butter, these treats come in the shape of peanuts in the shell, a classic ballpark snack.  They are grain-free and have a soft texture.

Barkbox did it again with another awesome theme this month.  I like the effort they put in to find toys and snacks that go so well with the theme.  Lindy loved both the boar and peanut treats!
