Packed full, but no information cards! urthbox medium febuary 2016 review
The contents of the box.  They have a variety of sizes and they all have different monthly costs, with a steep price reduction for longer subscriptions. This is the SMALL CLASSIC and the box is $29.99 per month, down to $19.99 per month on a 6 month plan.

FYI – We have an Urthbox subscription and already reviewed it this month but this version was entirely different. It took a little bit of time but Urthbox was eventually able to tell me that both boxes were sent out to subscribers, so boxes do have dramatic variations. We don’t typically break down the value of these sorts of snack boxes, but think it would be worthwhile to point out that the toffee is an $8 item, which we didn’t get in the box that we paid for. Our other box had chocolate coated banana pieces in its place.

Missy J’s PB+J Carob Cup:  This is one carob treat that won’t have you missing chocolate!  A hybrid between a Reese’s style peanut butter cup and a PB+J sandwich, this is delicious even to chocolate lovers.  The PB+J filling packs plenty of flavor to make up for an reservations you may have about carob.

E&C’s Heavenly Hunks:  My favorite GF baked goods rely heavily on oats, because the gluten free version can often be made as good as the ordinary version.  As much a mini-muffin as a cookie, these hunks are flavorful and hearty, with a true oatmeal cookie flavor.

Nuvia Trim:  A special blend of fruits, berries, and beans combine to support metabolic function, control appetite, and aid wight loss.  Green coffee and garcinia cambogia amp up your metabolism while boosting serotonin to curb cravings.

Xylichew Gum:  Xylitol is a natural sweetener that won’t promote tooth decay.  It is also a sugar alcohol, so it doesn’t spike blood sugar the same way cane sugar does.  Xylichew comes in Chiclet-type tablets — this variety has a very bold cinnamon flavoring.

Volo Vitamins Energy:  A no sugar added (stevia sweetened) blend of vitamins, minerals, and 17 fruit extracts that provides essential nutrients, B vitamins, amino acids, and a blast of caffeine.  Mix in water for a daily supplement that provides an energy boost.

Salad Power + Pineapple:  This little container packs nearly 3 servings of vegetables and uses pineapple as a sweetener.

Ricky’s Lucky Nuts:  I love these and wish the pack was bigger.  The peanuts are large and crunchy… and absolutely encrusted with seasoning.

Mediterranean Snacks Lentil Crackers:  These beautiful crackers have a wonderful crispness and are a bit like thin, baked pita pieces.  The lentil flour means more protein, more flavor, and no gluten.

Oh! Natural Paddington Bear Orange Marmalade Banana Chips:  The package alone is adorable!  A marmalade glaze adds flavor and sweetness to these crisp, potassium-rich slices.

Qancha Air-Toasted Heirloom Corn Snack:  These are really unique, as they are made from and heirloom corn that has tall, skinny kernels that roast up crisp instead of overly crunchy.  I was expecting Inca-corn, which are like giant corn-nuts on steroids, but these were delicate and roasty.

Pop’d Kerns:  These are great, providing a perfect middle ground between popcorn and corn nuts.  They are really crunchy, but they still have a bit of chew and tenderness, as well.  The flavor is roastier than popped corn — you feel like its popcorn doing and impression of a pretzel bite.  Highly addictive!

Lucy’s Brownie Crisp Triple Chocolate with 72% Dark Chocolate Chunks & Madagascar Vanilla: If you love brownie crisps you will love these. If you don’t love them, well, they’re pretty much a standard brownie crisp except they are gluten free and made without eggs, milk, or nuts. I wouldn’t have ever known except for reading the package after I stuffed them all in my face!

Dave’s Sweet Tooth Toffee:  Big, irregular chunks of sweet toffee broken from a giant sheet of crunchy toffee.  Each side of the wonderfully textured slab is coated with a layer of really nice chocolate.  I love the milk chocolate variety — darker chocolate overpowers and robs the toffee of is complexity.

Urthbox provides a great selection of snacks tailored to common dietary restrictions.  This review covered the Classic Box, but the vast majority of items were also gluten free.  I love that everything can stand on its own merits, and the dietary mindfulness has no impact on flavor.
