sprouting threads march 2016 box Sprouting Threads is a subscription styling service for kids about ages 2 to 8 — each box has several outfits to try on for fit and style in your own home, sparing the arduous trial that is clothes shopping with kids.  You set your kid’s profile online (sizing, etc), and the clothes arrive for your child to try on.  Sprouting Threads generates a detailed style profile for your child based on images of clothing that you can say you love, like, or don’t like. When you receive your box, keep what you want and return the rest.  There is a $20 styling fee that can be credited toward a purchase of two or more new items. It’s like Stitch Fix for kids!

This box is for all 3 of our kids, each of whom who have their own style preferences (at least the oldest 2) and sizing concerns! We gave Sprouting Threads theirsizing info when we signed up and filled out eachchild’s style profile.

We love the way everything comes packaged in this subscription! Everything is folded (and matched, if you need help with outfits).  Sometimes the matches are really obvious (like the stitching on the pants matches the unique color of the shirt), but usually you can mix-and-match most sets to make even more combos!

The items in this box are all higher-end boutique brands. You can choose to get half reThreads (gently worn clothing). In this box we received 2 outfits for each of our kids to try on! The owner of Sprouting Threads suggested that, and I absolutely loved the idea! She’s been so spot on with curating outfits I wasn’t worried about finding at least one outfit per child to keep.

E is extremely particular about his clothing and loved both outfits. Plus they both were in his favorite color. IMG_6993
Moodstreet Blue Tee ($33.80)

Tooby Doo Blue Chino Shorts ($36)

This is such a cute casual outfit and fit E’s style perfectly (as well as his skinny little body).  He looks fabulous! I love the aqua color of the shorts!

Tuck Life Blue Surf Truck Shirt ($28)

Life & Legend Grey Pants ($18.95)

These are such great versatile pants! Our son loves the surf theme of the shirt. We love how the boutique clothing fits him so well but doesn’t have babyish sayings all over it.  He’s pretty darn happy in this one!

Mim Pi Blue Tank with Patches ($32.50)

Mim Pi Green Dot Skirt ($48.95)

Our daughter was so busy running around with her brothers we didn’t get good snaps of her – but both outfits were so cute! This one fit her wild style and we both fell in love with it at first sight!

Vierra Rose White Eva Star Tank ($30)

Joules Grey Jersey Skirt ($24)IMG_6869

What a darling pairing! The tank top has a twist back to help keep those pesky straps up and the skirt is twirl-worthy! I know she will reach for these outfits over and over. We let her select her own outfits for the day and she’s been pretty obsessed with all the clothes from this subscription! She’s happy and I did zero shopping. Yay!

sprouting threads march 2016 baby

Baby F is almost 18 months old now but a fairly large child! Not quite everything fit him properly last time, but he is growing into his clothes now – and Sproutnng Threads is now offering baby boxes! IMG_6864

Tooby Doo Blue Monkey Tee ($28)

Go Gently Green Pencil Pant ($28)

A perfect outfit – a funny and hip shirt, and fun pencil pants that are perfect for toddlers! We love these snug fitting pants because they won’t get caught on anything. And  the fabric is fun too!

Tea Collection Blue Fast Car Tee ($26.50)

Tea Collection Blue Readyset Joggers ($32)

We love Tea Collection and this is a cute little mix and match outfit – we’re going to get a ton of use out of these, and F already knows vroom vroom, so he’s a fan of the shirt!

The box comes with a bag for returning any items you won’t keep – plus you can send back reThreads for store credit!

This was a fantastic set from Sprouting Threads! The clothes are all darling and hip (and again – don’t suffer from being too cutesy), and our kids really love the comfort. The boutique prices are a little more than  regular discount store children’s wear but we think the construction details (like soft sewn seams and sturdier clothes) are totally worth it. Our big kids do demand to wear the clothes they’ve received in this box. We love not having to go to the store to shop for our kids or even think about outfits – this service is awesome for busy parents.
