The March 2016 Level Up subscriptions were all about VS, and I do not mean Victoria’s Secret! Level Up is a monthly subscription from Loot Crate with exclusive geek and gamer premium wearable accessories themed along with the current Loot Crate theme. You can purchase Level Up separately from Loot Crate – and the wearable items (the shirts/hats/etc) are available in ladies’ sizes, but not the socks.

There are now four options:

  • Socks: 2 pairs of themed socks for $9.99
  • Shirt: 1 shirt for $8.99
  • Accessories: 1 or 2 fashion accessories for lady looters (hairbow, cosmetics, jewelry) for $14.99
  • Wearable: 1 wearable item like a premium shirt or hat for $14.99

You can also bundle the wearable + socks for $20.99 or the Ladies’ accessories and shirt for $19.99! See the March 2016 Level Up Shirt & Accessories here.

The March 2016 theme is The VS Collection! Hmm. Is this possibly related to the Batman versus Superman Movie? Read on to find out.

T, age 17, loved their take on the VS theme! I will let him do most of the talking because he was soooo excited about the bundle! I’ll add in all the boring stuff.

T (age 17): Super Mario socks! Despite playing tennis, go-karting and partying together, Mario and Bowser always end up fighting in crazy worlds.

PA Anna: The socks are a Loot Crate exclusive and are amazing! They are made out of 82% polyester, 16% cotton,  and 2% spandex. You can see “VS” on the top part of the foot of the Mario sock.

T (age 17): Marvel socks! With a S.H.I.E.L.D. Symbol and a Hydra symbol! S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for Special Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. They’re a super secret corporation of good guys (and are humans, sadly…) who travel all around the world to stop the less extreme threats so the Avengers can busy themselves with super villains. Hydra is just like S.H.I.E.L.D., except they are all bad, and are usually the people S.H.I.E.L.D. are trying to stop. They always find ways to butt heads one way or another. Both have been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

PA Anna: T loves athletic socks! The socks are a LootCrate exclusive and also feature the “VS” on the foot. They are made out of 98% polyester and 2% spandex.

T is modeling size Medium – Exclusive Captain America/Iron Man Long Sleeve Shirt

T (age 17) : In the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, Captain America is going at it with Iron Man. FINALLY! A LITTLE PART OF ME JUST DIED! After the destruction and death in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, the government  feels they should have some control over the Avengers, telling them when and when not to get involved. Iron Man is all for it, trying to make amends after creating the villain in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Captain America is strongly against the idea and believes they should have the freedom to step in and help whenever. So they develop into 2 teams and go up against each other (or could the villain of the movie be behind it all?)

PA Anna:Did you see Captain America or Iron Man? I think this is T’s favorite shirt ever. He can’t decide whether to root for Captain America or Iron Man.  The shirt is soft and is a nice lightweight long sleeve shirt. The shirt is 90% cotton and 10% polyester.

I placed the information cards at the end of the post to keep the shirt as a surprise. It’s a clever shirt.

T loves the March Level Up Wearable Bundle. The t-shirt ranks as one of the best t-shirts ever to be received in a subscription box.  He loved the designs on both sets of socks. Everything fits the theme perfectly. April Level Up spoilers should be announced shortly!

The art on that shirt is awesome. And #TeamIronMan all the way, but that’s just my Tony Stark bias speaking – in the grand scheme, neither are 100% in the right.

I love Iron Man AND Captain America too so I’m not sure who to root for either! Hoping they’ll compromise and work together to defeat bad guys again. 🙂 I like that the shirt is long sleeved for a change so you have a cool T-shirt to wear on those cooler days.

Great review by T! (and his mama) I can never remember what S.H.I.E.L.D. stands for…

Sadly, if the movie plays anything like the comic book run… well, happy endings aren’t a thing in Earth-616.

Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division. I’ve watched these movies too much.

Heat7918 – Thank you! He’s conflicted. He’s a big Iron Man fan. He also thinks Captain America is right.

Valerie – T is wondering the same thing. He is hoping it won’t follow the comic book run.
