The Ipsy theme for March is “Hello Spring.” Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription – get 5 items in a cute bag for $10 a month! It’s the most popular subscription box (even though it’s a bag) with over 1.3 million subscribers and 100k new ones monthly. If you’re an Ipsy fan, be sure to watch for my monthly spoiler posts – I pick one reader randomly from the comments as my referral link for most of the month. Several of the past winners were able to load up on bonus items! Ipsy always comes in a fab pink mailer bag!

Remember to subscribe to the newsletter so you see the April 2016 Ipsy Spoilers – I will open the referral link giveaway with the first spoiler!

Illamasqua Precision Ink Liquid Liner ($28) What a fabulous liner! It glides on easily and is easy to manipulate but it seriously stays on even through rubbing, washing, etc. I was so impressed!

I’m not sure about the pricing – the full size is $28 for 1.8 ml (photo of retail package shown), and this is 3 ml. Maybe this is here this month because they misprinted the boxes? Oh and Temptalia says this is a dupe (as in packaging, formula, everything) to Mac Superslick liner. (which is cheaper!). So if you need more of this liner, check that out.

Be A Bombshell Bronzer – Heatwave ($16) this is a pretty and shimmery baked shade! Originally my autocorrect switched that to naked, and you know what? That description works too! BaB is in Ipsy quite a bit (and includes talc and parabens) so it’s not my favorite item, although it’s full-sized. Swatch below.

MeMeMe Loose Powder Brush ($19.95) I am always happy to get a brush, because even the heap ones cost money, and this one was really just travel brush quality for me (and overpriced – it’s converted from GBP so I guess they have less access to great brushes?). This brush shed a lot and is really small for a powder brush.

Organic Surge Comforting Hand & Nail Cream in Lavender Meadow ($2.12) I liked how this was for hands and nails! It’s advertised as being suitable for eczema prone skin and uses shea butter and organic lavender and geranium essential oils in the formula, which was really nice!

Model Co Lip Lacquer in Socialite ($12) this was one of my favorite items. It’s a bit sticky but the color and shine are fantastic. This is 50% of the product of the full size!

This was a good Ipsy bag for me this month! It wasn’t my personal favorite for my own preferences but it included some fantastic items and a high value – $78 (although it’s clearly overpriced by about $20) . It’s really impressive for $10!

We didn’t get anything alike, but I got Modelco lip laquer last month (in Morocco a pink-nude shade) and loved it so much I’ve used it all up (all that I can get to)! It smells like strawberries. Your shade looks even prettier! I still have a lot in the bottom of the bottle beyond the wand that I’m trying to get out. I love it that much!

Everything I got is different from yours this month. I got Pixi by Petra blush duo in rose/gold, Mannakadar Beauty eyeshadow in Fantasy (apparently a sort of copper), a Beau Gachis Paris eyeshadow brush, NYX Liquid Suede lipstick in Soft-Spoken, and Marc Anthony Argan Oil blow dry smoothing cream. 3 out of 5 are at least things I will use. The liquid lipstick is a thing I dislike intensely, both the form and the formula, and the very last thing I need on my baby-fine straight, oily hair is this smoothing cream. Oh well. My bag is the same color scheme as yours. And due to the referral points from your link, I got 5 redemption products: treStique mini shadow crayon in Aspen Pine (a little darker than I expected, but diffferent from the shadows I’ve been getting), Clarisea instant glow powder exfoliant, Befine exfoliant cleanser with brown sugar, sweet almond and oats, Mybody Glowbiotics probiotic instant resurfacing pads, and Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I already have a couple more things lined up to come in next month’s bag, too.

Susan! Congrats on the bonus items! I got that Aspen Pine shadow stick and thought I couldn’t use it; so I looked up pictures and realized I like it in small doses-in the outer corner of my eye. I Applied a shimmery golden champagne color (from Tini beauty also from ipsy last year) on my lid and then the aspen shade on the outer third and blended it so it wasn’t too intense. It looks really pretty with the golden champagne and I blended it to be subtle. I think it would be a good eyeliner too. I need to figure out how to get a fine enough line for that.

Hi Ryla, I love ipsy and have been with them the longest, but I also have birchbox and beauty box 5. I am letting my subs run out for the other two and will stick with ipsy. Beauty Box 5 really confuses me because they will have really super box one month followed by several months of just weird random stuff, and I don’t like the little foil packets they send out that can’t be sealed. Birchbox is not much better. I get a few things I like, but many tiny samples and way too much awful perfume. They do have really high quality single use samples though. It’s just hard for me to know if something is worth getting after just a tiny sample. I am mostly wanting to try make up, and I find ipsy is ideal for me. I get larger samples of things I’ll actually use both make up and skin care, pretty, fun nail polishes (BB5 sends me really awful ones!), and delicious lotions. I’ve only ever gotten one perfume from them, and it was a large sample bottle!
