Generation- A is a creative geek box from the UK! Inspire your inner creative geek with a monthly theme and 5-8 items including a wearable! This box was small but mighty, and had a nice weight to it!

First look: I see SPACE!!! and Lego! Two of my favourite things in the world.

The information brochure contains lots of cool features like a monthly competition using the items in your box, cool gadgets, current museum exhibits in the UK, and other tidbits.

IMG_2045LEGO Set ($5-10?) The first item I pulled out was a Lego polybag set from the Alien Conquest series! This set is older, from 2011, but I love the little guy’s jetpack! I have a space shelf with my LEGO Space Shuttle and this little guy will make a nice addition to it!

Holst The Planets Suite CD ($15?) Oh my gosh, I can’t think of the last time I actually held a CD in my hands. This is an album containing one long brass piece followed by seven suites, one for each planet excluding Earth and Pluto. (Man, you hear about Pluto? That’s messed up.) The planetary suite was actually written back in 1914, and Pluto hadn’t been discovered yet, which explains the omission.

The War of the Worlds Paperback ($5) Most people know H.G. Wells for The Time Machine, but he also wrote The War of the Worlds. I love the design of this book — it’s not actually beat up and distressed, it’s just printed to look that way. This is a complete and unabridged edition, which is always appreciated!

Puzzle Ball ($10-15) This thing is so cool but so hard to figure out! But it was fun trying even if I did roll it off my coffee table in disgust at my own stupidity.

Earth Lollipop ($3?) I am never eating this. It’s too pretty.

Generation A Shirt I love that this actually fits me! It’s a nice quality fabric and the printing is bright and colourful.
