American Gluten-Free

The American Gluten-Free Box is a new gluten-free box that offers artisan foods! Each month American Gluten-Free delivers, at least, seven amazing full-size gluten-free products. All products are from small businesses and are either certified gluten-free or meet the FDA requirements for gluten-free. Meals, snacks, and specialty seasonal foods may appear in the box.

Love the Saying!
Love the Saying!

My doctor recommended a gluten-free diet after my emergency gall bladder surgery a few years ago. My sister went 100% gluten-free about three years ago and now feels incredible. She used to suffer from IBS and other issues.  Being gluten-free has greatly improved her quality of life.

Almost there!
Almost there!

The March 2016 box is their second box! I can’t wait to see what is inside.

First Look

The March box looks to be amazing! I was surprised to see microwave popcorn and decided to research it. I found out that gluten can be in some of the flavorings.

The Information Card is detailed with the website and a code key. The code key indicates which items are Gluten-Free (all, of course!), Dairy Free, Soy Free, Vegan, Kosher, Organic, and Raw. It’s incredibly helpful when dealing with dietary restrictions and needs.

Kelley's Mustard
Kelley’s Mustard

The Kelley’s Stone Ground Mustard ($4.95) arrived well-protected. The award winning mustard won the gold medal in 2013 and the silver medal in 2015 in the WorldWide Mustard Competition. We will be opening it soon! The mustard is gluten-free, fairy-free, vegan, and soy-free. It was selected for the March Box to compliment your corn beef sandwiches. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Julian Bakery Paleo Wrap

Great packaging!
Great packaging!

My sister is visiting us and tried the Julian Bakery Paleo Wraps ($8.99). She made a wrap using the Applegate Naturals Honey & Maple Turkey Breast (gluten-free, of course) and cheddar cheese. She felt the sweet taste of the wrap complemented the wrap fillings. I was surprised by the wrap ingredients. It’s coconut meat, coconut oil, and unrefined Virgin Coconut oil and all ingredients are from organic coconuts. It was selected because it is hard to find a delicious tasting gluten-free wrap.

I can’t wait to try the Quinn Popcorn Vermont Maple & Sea Salt($4.99)! It sounds delicious. The ingredients are organic popcorn kernels, high oleic sunflower oil, maple sugar, and sea salt. Nothing else! It’s gluten-free, dairy free, soy free, vegan, and non-gmo. We usually air pop our home-grown popcorn. We will be trying this popcorn because there are no chemical or plastic coating on the bags. Also, I can not resist maple sugar!

Al Dente Pasta Company

The Al Dente Pasta Company Garlic Parsley Pasta Spirals ($3.99) is made with locally sourced Michigan white beans. The small batch pasta is made in Michigan. The pasta is gluten free, kosher, vegan, and non-gmo. It goes through a special process that eliminates the bean aftertaste. I can’t wait to try it. Garlic Parsley sounds delicious. It was selected as a quick, easy meal.

That's it Bar
That’s it Bar

The family is familiar with the That’s it Bars ($3.32) thanks to subscription boxes. They are always a welcome sight. The bars have a nice chewy texture and taste to them. Healthy snacks are always appreciated.

Surf Sweets Organic Jelly Beans

Both my sister and J liked The Surf Sweet’s Organic Jelly Beans ($1.87)! My sister described them as having a pop of flavor. They are made out of organic juices and sweeteners. The jelly beans are a seasonal treat for the Easter bunny and all that love jelly beans!

Vermints
Vermints Peppermint

I could smell the Vermints Peppermint Mints ($3.09)  as soon as I opened the box. They have a great minty taste and contain actual mint leaves. The mint taste is mild when you sucked on them and very strong when you chewed on them. I love the reusable tin too!

Yolky Egg Separator

Egg White

I had to test out the Yolky Egg Separator ($4.92) to see if it worked! I had a hard time fitting Yolky on a bowl. He did fit on a mug and did his job with ease. It was a fun inclusion in the box. I noticed that some gluten-free recipes included egg whites. It makes sense to include it in the box.

The family is very pleased with the March American Gluten-Free Box. The value is slightly above the monthly price which is excellent for a food box. I love that their focus is on artisan producers. It was a delight to open up the box and see gourmet quality gluten-free foods. The little details such as having foods that tied into March holidays and the mustard packaging is appreciated. Be sure to check out the box!

That is cool that they sent gluten free mints. It is something you don’t really see often in subscription boxes.
