Our massive Premium box.  Immediately upon opening the box, you know that you are being gastronomically whisked away to a magical land where everyone, and everything, takes on a the guise of a manga or anime characters.

The little booklet reads right to left, in authentic Japanese fashion.  It has a brief manga feature, some additional product info, fan pics, giveaways and contest results, and other items of interest.

This helpful chart provides info on each item in the box.  Here, you can peruse contents of other tiers to see if you would be just as happy with a lower tier, or if you want to spring on a higher tier.

The premium box is a combination of the Mini & Original Boxes, plus extra items, so you can see what each box consists of.

Nericcho Soft Strawberry Cones – A bonus item for all boxes! We’ve had this one a few times and it’s fun – just mix up the “soft serve” and plop it in the cones!

Toppu Trio Stick Gum: In Cola, Cider, and Grape, these soft and individually wrapped pieces of gum are juicy and tasty.

Twinbo Drink Gummy: Sour gummies each with two flavors – you can mix and match for extra flavor fun. These aren’t too sour.

Coris Grape & Soda Kajirittyo: As the box notes this super grapey taffy chews like a gum, but dissolves. It’s all the yum of gum but you don’t’ have to worry about where to discard it!

Chip Star Norisho: Despite not really digging seaweed flavor I loved these Pringles-like Seaweed & Salt chips! Maybe because of the MSG goodness inside.

Heart Ltd. Oekaki Choco DIY: I can’t wait to do this one with my kids on Valentine’s Day! You melt the chocolate in the microwave, put it in the tray, and use the included tweezers to place the balls. I love that Japan Crate included translated instructions in the booklet!

Petit Pastel Ice Cream Cookies & Chocolate: I can’t say these tasted anything other than chocolate and biscuit but I loved them, and it’s unlikely I will use the extra package to share with a friend as the book suggests!

Super Lemon: This is a BIG bag of super lemony goodness – the outside is SOUR SOUR SOUR and then a hard lemon candy and sweet lemon flavor on the inside. I love the bag!

Yaokin Budou Grape Gummy: I love Japanese grape gummies because they always seem to have a true natural flavor to them, and these were no exception.

Yaokin Moguchuu Strawberry: Like Hi-Chew or Starburst! Very chewy and nice strawberry flavor.

Shirakiku Ramune: I loved that this wasn’t just a can and included the traditional marble to push through the cap. Subscribers received coconut, strawberry, pineapple, blueberry, raspberry, watermelon, and original. I got original!

Mini Ramen Bowls: This bonus item was undoubtedly my favorite item, because it totally looks good enough to eat. I’m going to hang it on my bag, next to my Level Up Darth Vader!

I loved this month and I enjoyed sampling absolutely everything (and besides the choco DIY and the ice cream cones which I’ve made before I totally opened every item within an hour of unboxing – I cannot control myself around this box).  There’s probably a little more gum in this subscription than other Japanese snack boxes (I’m ambivalent) but the items are so awesome and I think it’s such a great value and so much fun – I get to sample great snacks and candy that I have never seen before.

Ramune is the best. I love the limited edition versions that come out, with Pokemon or Doraemon or Hello Kitty on the bottle!
