Glowing Beets is a monthly natural beauty subscription box. In each box you’ll receive 3-4 deluxe-sized samples or full size beauty products made with natural or organic ingredients. You’ll be able to test out the scent, texture, and performance of high-end natural and organic beauty products before committing to full size.

It doesn’t often happen where one item takes up half the box! It looks like a four item box this month.

The two-sided information card gives information on each item and shows the variations offer for this month.

January’s items look interesting. Anything labeled Get Happy in a January Box is a must item!

Lilfox Mandarin Lip Balm in Mandarin ($8) The lip balm is made of simple ingredients. Lilfox was founded by a certified aromatherapist and educator.

I used a q-tip and placed the lip balm on my lips before going out on a cold windy day. I came back with lips that felt moisturized, not chapped. I am impressed. My lips still felt moisturized hours later.

Pachy travel-size Deodorant Calming Fields ($5.95) Yay! The Pachy deodorant is in a twist-up stick.  There is an informative article explaining why some people experience difficulties adjusting to a natural deodorant and how to handle them.

The deodorant has a wonderful lavender smell with a hint of mint. It glides on easy. I tried it out today and have not experienced any issues.

The Plant GET HAPPY Body Wash ($20) is huge! It’s 9.5 ounces of wonderful scented organic geranium and peppermint oils in a body wash.  Wash away the grumpies with the eight ingredient body wash. It is low sudsing because of the natural formula being free of parabens, SLS, petroleum, silicones. The body wash is made in Brooklyn, NY, USA confirming my suspicions that the most fantastic subscription box items can be found in Brooklyn. I’ve been using the body wash and loved the scent!

FitGlow Skin Renew Cream ($69)is a made-in-Canada night cream. The formula is 72% organic and contains wildcrafted herbs such as lemon balm, ginseng, and green tea. The lavender is locally harvested. The formula does contain 5% vitamin C so don’t forget the sunscreen when using it during the day! The cream helps renew, brighten and reverse the signs of aging. I did not notice a scent when I tried it out. It absorbed quickly into my skin and did not irritate my rosacea. Fitglow is Leaping Bunny certified and only sources from cruelty-free suppliers of ingredients.

The value of the box is off the charts at $102.95. I added it up twice because I could not believe it. All the brands are new to me except for PLANT. I had a hard time decided which item I liked best. Ultimately I picked the lip balm because it held up well while I ran errands on a windy day and for hours afterward. I am thoroughly impressed!

What I noticed about the box is that the items are spread out over different beauty/skincare categories. It’s an excellent variety of natural beauty products. February signups are now open. Don’t miss out!
