20160221_114248 The front of the card tells you a little bit about each of the products in the box (and coupon codes for most); the back of the card features a workout — this month is “Sexy Lean Legs Workout.”  There were a lot of super tasty things in this box and I may have found a new favorite treat!  Let me tell you what was in the box.

Lesser Evil Super 4 snack bites:  These were interesting – the nacho cheese flavor of a chip, but more of the dense consistency of a cracker.  I would have liked them a little more cheesy and spicy (the story of my life), but overall, these were a fun snack.  Plus I felt like I was eating something a little more nutritious than a bag of chips from the vending machine.

Manitoba Harvest Hemp Heart Bar:  This was a pretty good snack bar.  I mean, who doesn’t like chocolate?  Plus it had a good flavor.

Laughing Giraffe Organics Lemon Snakaroon:  Oh my!  So good!  The only bad thing about this was I wanted more!  This was a very tasty coconut cookie with a nice lemony flavor.  I love both flavors and this treat was a perfect blend of both.

Munk Pack Oatmeal Fruit Squeeze:  There were actually two of these pouches in the box — apple quinoa cinnamon and raspberry coconut.  One of them got eaten (and discarded) before I realized that my first picture of this product was totally blurry.  Anyway, the raspberry coconut was very good!  And I liked the apple quinoa cinnamon, too, but preferred the raspberry.  I am a big fan of fruit pouches – but I had never had one with oatmeal.  The initial taste was a bit jarring, because I wasn’t expecting the oatmeal texture, but after I remembered what I was eating, I liked it.  I take these on bike rides with me for fuel, so the addition of oatmeal is actually a real nice bonus for me.

I Heart Keenwah Puffs:  This snack was fun.  My husband looked at the bag and said “no way.”  But once I dug into them (and was enjoying them), he decided to get over his fear and try some.  And he liked them too.  Silly husband, afraid of quinoa!  Anyway, seriously, these were very good.  They have the texture of a cheese puff; these were flavored Herbs de Provence.  I found myself thinking that they’d be super good with cheese…and in doing a little research, I Heart Keenwah does make cheese flavored quinoa puffs, so I’m going to buy a bag and try those out.  Even without being cheese flavored, these were crispy and flavorful — a perfect snack instead of chips.  I plan on buying these for myself!

Peaceful Fruits Acai + Apple fruit strip:  I’m a big fan of fruit strips & this one had a great flavor.  I didn’t like the texture of the Peaceful Fruits strip as much as some others I’ve tried — it was a little drier and chewier than I expected, but it was still a good snack. 20160221_114501

Heavenly Organics Mint Chocolate Honey Patties:  Holey cow.  These were amazing!  They taste like a York Peppermint Patty with a little honey undertone…but they’re made with real food.  Did I mention they taste amazing?  No seriously.  You should try these out.  Now.  I have found my new favorite candy…that’s how good these are.  I would not have thought to buy them because the honey part would have scared me, but that’s just plain silly.  While you can tell that the sweetness comes from honey, it is not overpowering.  Instead it’s just a good chocolatey-mint flavor.  And it’s amazing.

Lawless Beef Jerky:  Nom.  I love beef jerky — not as much as I love chocolate, but it’s right up there.  While teriyaki flavor isn’t my favorite, I thought this jerky from Lawless was very good.  You could tell it was good quality meat, well flavored, and carefully made.  I ate this whole bag without sharing!

vitafive Daily Gummy Vitamin Pack:  Although I’m not a daily vitamin taker, I like the idea behind this product.  Vitafive will send a monthly supply of little daily packets of vitamins, in gummy form — a super easy and convenient way to get your daily vitamins.  The gummy vitamins tasted good — like you’d expect a gummy to taste, plus having a daily pouch would make taking them every day a lot easier to remember and do.
