covet crate february 2016 box

Covet Crate is a new monthly women’s subscription box geared to professional women sending items that a busy and stylish woman will actually use and appreciate! Every month you will receive carefully curated items geared toward the professional woman’s lifestyle to help empower, motivate, inspire, and encourage you. There are two versions of this box – the Girl Boss box or the Lady Boss box.

covet crate february 2016 unboxing

Lady Boss Box ($84.95): The lady boss has experience in her industry. She is at the top of her game and is looked up to by her peers. Neutrals and bold, monochromatic colors make her feel in control of life and work.

Girl Boss ($44.95): A girl boss has a fresh perspective on her industry. She takes her career seriously without being too serious. Fun colors and cute patterns inspire her to grow and succeed in her career.

I love cute girly things but I’m totally a lady boss, and that’s what I subscribed to.

The box comes with a mini magazine with a feature on a woman that changed the world.

There are multiple other features and little inspirational spreads.  A full page was devoted to each item in the box.

There was so much in this box and just like last month it was all absolutely gorgeous.
covet crate february 2016 IMG_5616B+A Gallery Pink/Blush Things I Will Do Notepad ($12.99) For creating intentional to do lists. I am a fan of any list making notepad! The price seems inflated, but that’s what they’re selling it for in their shop.

Sessa Vee Calling Cards ($4) These are black and white striped and say Hello on the front. Obviously they will work for me (Hello!) but I am not sure the classic calling card would be useful for most women – I would just my business cards in most instances. They are uncoated on the back and pair with the pen (shown below).

American Crafts Designer Desktop Essentials Heart Paper Clips ($3.99) Squee-worthy paper clips! I love them! The stationery supplies in this box are awesome.  These are super jumbo and put a cute touch on your paperwork.

This slim black & gold pen (.5mm fine point) pen ($3.75) will put a fine point on your thoughts! It’s very fine and perfect for when I need to write teensy things and I love the chic look of it.

covet crate february 2016 IMG_5617 Girl Code: Unlocking the Secrets to Success, Sanity, and Happiness for the Female Entrepreneur by Cara Alwill Leyba ($8.95) I wasn’t particularly excited about this book but I sure liked the description of the author!

Cara Alwill Leyba is an Author and Master Life Coach from New York City who encourages women to create a “Champagne Life” that entails living effervescently, celebrating themselves every day, and making their happiness a priority. She runs an international boutique coaching practice where she works with burnt-out, bored women who know they are meant for more. Through loving guidance, support and an expert perspective, Cara empowers women to challenge their fears and create a lifestyle and career that feels authentic, vibrant, and inspiring.

I think living a champagne life sounds fun!

I am witnessing a phenomenon. It seems as though a growing group women entrepreneurs all around the world has discovered the secret to success and happiness in both their lives and careers. It’s almost as though there is a hidden, underground world of power playing females who have all cracked a magical code: they think positively, they support one another, and they truly believe they can have it all —and you can, too. There is something dynamic that happens when women genuinely show up for each other. When we lose the facades, when we cut the bullsh*t, and when we truly have each others backs. When we stop pretending everything is perfect, and we show the messy, beautiful parts of ourselves and our work that all look awfully similar. When we talk about our fears, our missteps, and our breakdowns. And most importantly, when we share our celebrations, our breakthroughs, and dish on what works. There is no reason to hoard information, connections, or insight. Wisdom is meant to be shared, so let’s start sharing what we’ve learned to make each other better. Let’s start building each other up. Let’s live up to our potential and start ruling the world. GIRL CODE is a roadmap for female entrepreneurs, professional women, “side hustlers” (those with a day job who are building a business on the side), and anyone in between who wants to become a better woman. This book will not teach you how to build a multimillion dollar business. It won’t teach you about systems or operational processes. But it will teach you how to build confidence in yourself, reconnect with your “why,” eradicate jealousy, and ultimately learn the power of connection. Because at the end of the day, that’s what life and business is all about.

I liked the message of this book and women helping women!

covet crate february 2016 IMG_5618 The 52 Lists Project ($12.13) I think this journaling book is amazing and inspirational, and something I will actually use. I can totally take 5-10 minutes a week for daydreaming and inspirational planning!

Based on the popular blog series by Moorea Seal, this gorgeous journal is for list lovers. Create 52 lists, one for every week of the year, that will help you discover the beauty, joy, creativity, and power you already have! TThis beautiful undated journal of weekly lists will help nurture self-expression and self-development. Each seasonal section includes list prompts, with plenty of space to write your own lists, and challenges to help you take action and make your dreams a reality. With perfectly timed prompts that meet you where you are throughout the different seasons, this journal will open up new avenues of self-knowledge and help you celebrate, enjoy, and take ownership of your life, as each week of the year becomes more thoughtful and vibrant.

I really really dig this and it’s really in the sort of bite-size chunks I need as a busy lady!

It’s undated so you kind of can stretch it throughout the year, but it’s also pretty seasonal, so try to keep up! You can check out the #52ListsProject on Instagram to see what others are doing with their lists!

covet crate february 2016 IMG_5621 Snack time! Included in the box were two Ticket Chocolates Hot Chocolate on a Stick ($10), Whimsy & Spice Espresso Dulce de Leche Brownies ($4.25), and a box of Brown Sugar & Cinnamon gourmet marshmallows from Vivéltre ($5.99). A really spread and I loved the conversation hearts in the chocolate but the marshalllows were to die for. I must try all of their flavors!

covet crate february 2016 IMG_5622 Womeneur Business Advice Session ($21) I am not sure if this item would be for everyone, but it’s worth a shot if you have a burning business question. This subscription specifically includes experiences along with the items.

More gorgeous stationery items! I love gold and rose gold accented everything. Pictured here are 2 Parrot Design Studio greeting cards ($10) with envelopes as well as two mini Pretty Thoughts journals/Notebooks from Antiquaria Design Studio ($12) with gorgeous vanilla cream paper inside. covet crate february 2016 IMG_5624 Lady Boss Mug ($16.99) Absolutely one of my fave items in the box! I get custom printed mugs in subscription boxes from time to time and this is very likely the nicest quality one I have ever received.  Don’t worry Girl Boss, they have you covered! Also, the design is on BOTH SIDES! Lefties may now rejoice.

The Paris Print Shop Pink Paris In Color Postcards/4×6 Prints ($8) A cute thematic set! You can frame them, send them as postcards, use on a moodboard, or whatever strikes your fancy. They are gorgeous and printed on heavy matte acid-free paper.

This box is pretty amazing and hits a lot of high notes! There’s about $135 in value in the box, which is huge, although $21 of that is the gift certificate. Since this box is new I’m unsure whether the smaller or larger box is the right one for me – I tend to like more of the stuff and less of the experiences included because my time is so limited. What did you think about the items in this month? I was very happy with them and excited to see how this subscription grows!
