retrobox_1970_box

Retro Pop Box is a monthly subscription box designed to bring you back to your youth by delivery nostalgic items from pop culture of bygone eras.   You can select the 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s as your era.  I reviewed the 70’s box.

It arrived neatly wrapped and fasted with a decade-appropriate sticker.

Everything in the box.

retrobox_1970_card

The card details every item in the Box.  It includes a brief explanation of the significance of the items, but all the items included are instantly recognizable to anyone who lived through the decade or are familiar with the pop culture of the era.

retrobox_1970_magnets

DC Comics villains magnets: ($12.99) These are awesome. Magnets are always good and easy to use and the villains on them are in the 1970s style.

Ode to Role Play:  This is funny and I kind of like it. We have already been rolling the dice around and seeing what we get. On a note on the back of the card it says that Dungeons & Dragons is from the 70s. I did not know that and that makes this even better and more appropriate for this box.

retrobox_1970_discoball

Disco Ball Keychain: The card says to admit that the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack started playing in your head as soon as you saw this and I will say it so totally did.  I was dancing around taking picture so much that C thought I was crazy. That did not stop him from taking it to add to his backpack.  His bag is really going to get heavy with all these new keychains clipped to it. 🙂

Kitsch on the Rocks Coasters:  These are era-inspired but really who doesn’t still love a good margarita? I mean they are awesome.

retrobox_1970_shirt

This exclusive T-shirt is labeled miser vs miser and is really soft.  It is on the thin side but really soft.  It asks who you side with Mister Ten Below or Mister Hundred-and-one?  I love that its in the style of the fighting robots which I remember playing with as a kid.

I really Dig this box. It had a groovy feel to it and I think the items were curated to give a great feel for the decade.
