My Pretend Place Safari Dress-Up Box Month 2 Review & Coupon

We recently reviewed the Safari dress-up box from My Pretend Place – a quarterly themed pretend play and dress up subscription box for children aged 3-6.   Every quarterly My Pretend Place package comes complete with high quality non-itchy dress-up costumes, activities or crafts, and other pretend play inspiration. The first interstitial surprise packet for the Safari My Pretend Place was a safari sounds activity!

It came with a letter to my daughter from Ranger Twiga, who shared some fun facts about animals found on safari, as well as their Swahili names.

 Ranger Twiga also sent a safari themed sticker sheet.  It included a Savannah backdrop for creating your own safari scene.

The safari sounds activity encouraged the kids to break out their safari costume, as well as some stuffed animals or animal ears and tails they may have around.  The idea is to make the other players guess what animal’s sounds you are making — you confirm correct answers by donning the appropriate costume or holding up the matching stuffed animal.  Then everyone jobs in making noises!

We love the way the bonus monthly surprise kits extend the value of the quarterly costume.  The interstitial mailing is an excellent way to keep the fun going on something you already purchased without more “stuff”!  It’s just a nice reminder to go play with what you’ve got!
