Everything in the January Deluxe box!

Pop Art Snacks Rosemary Truffle Gourmet Popcorn: I can’t stand mushrooms but I love truffled popcorn! This is a non-GMO corn (yay!) flavored with rosemary and truffle. The rosemary brings a very earthy flavor. I’ve tried this popcorn before and loved it (despite my mushroom aversion I seem to love truffle!). I ate the whole bag and didn’t share!

Snikiddy Baked Mac n’ Cheese Puffs: These are baked corn & rice puffs flavored with cheese and super kid friendly (but big kids aka adults will like them too). Repeat from February 2015 box.

Corn with Sea Salt Chips By The Better Chip
Jalapenos with Sea Salt Chips By The Better Chip

I absolutely LOVE The Better Chip, and I was really happy to see both of these – especially the jalapeño! Even better, my husband is trying to ameliorate some food review related poundage, so they’re all mine! If you haven’t tried yours yet, they’re whole grain non-GMO chips and they have lots of great flavors. I really love the hearty corn flavor on these.

Almond Butter Balls by Betty Lous
Cashew Pecan Balls by Betty Lous

These unique “energy balls” are protein packed and super tasty! I was excited to get the almond butter flavor and I love that they have a good amount of fiber in them to keep you full. I still have 4 more flavors to conquer (though I might skip spirulina ginseng!).

Sea Salt Caramel by Annie Bs: Summer raved about this in her tasting box review and I couldn’t wait to try it myself – I was so not disappointed, they’re that good! They have just the right amount of sea salt crystals inside, perfectly setting off the caramel.

Loacker Minis by Loacker: Yes, they’re like portable Nutella – wafers with cocoa hazelnut cream sandwiched inside!

Ritter Mini by Ritter Sport: A milk Chocolate square with praline.

Double Chocolate Mini Breakfast Cookie by Erin Baker’s

Peanut Butter Mini Breakfast Cookie by Erin Baker’s

I’m not sure if I want to get behind the idea of a breakfast cookie, or just eat cookies for breakfast, or call these granola cookies! They’re made with whole grains and sweetened with fruit and a couple grams of protein. I’ll just call them healthy cookies.

Original Snack Stick By Di Mario Foods: A perfect non-stringy alternative to jerky, this one is pork.

Mini Power O’s by Love Grown Foods: We’ve tried several flavors of this bean-based breakfast cereal and loved each one of them – they’re totally amazing!  I didn’t realize until now that they’re available on subscribe & save on Amazon, and I’m adding a box of these to our next order – a great toddler snack!

Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut Bar by Caveman Foods: I totally love this nut and seed based (and paleo friendly) bar and I was happy to see it pop up in my box!

The box also came with a variety of coupons for some of the brands in the box.

This was a pretty good Deluxe box, although some of the items didn’t fit the theme (who shares a pork stick?).  I definitely got a lot of flavors to sample, and with an annual subscription this box is definitely worth it to me – I love trying out new flavors and foods!

You can try out Love With Food by using this link to get your first Classic Size Box 40% off . You can also save 50% on your first Gluten-Free box by using this link. I got chocolate flavored Power O’s – a bit concerned about them since I usually dislike the bean-based stuff, and I’m not fond of cereal in general (don’t care much for milk either). And my Ritter mini has chopped hazelnuts in it, which is one of my favorites – love Ritter chocolate. I remember being unimpressed by the Snikiddy things last time, but didn’t hate them. And I liked the pork stick, although it was a bit saltier than I’d really prefer. My grandson loves meat sticks, so I should look into these for him I guess.

I thought the Snikiddy puffs tasted (and felt, and basically were if you looked at the ingredients) like cornstarch packing peanuts with cheese powder on them…and I think more of them stuck to my teeth than I actually swallowed. I gave the jerky away at work. But I did enjoy the rest of the box.

they are basically like pirate’s booty to me, just in a different shape. my family can eat an entire huge bag of it in about 15 minutes, it’s terrible. i haven’t tried the pork stick yet.

Ah, I’ve never actually had Pirate’s Booty. Once my brother gave me a bag of it because he thought the illustration on the front was funny. I kept for awhile but was never tempted to open it. (I’m a vegetarian but most of the time LwF stuff is OK for me. I like that some of it has cheese, unlike the vegan boxes.)

P.S. I hate mushrooms too. But I also like truffle popcorn.
