January’s Petit Vour was designed to show you items that “do good” and improve your wellness at the same time. Petit Vour is a vegan beauty subscription box. For only $15 per month you receive up to five cruelty-free beauty and grooming samples.
The cards from Petit Vour have been illustrated lately by Mia Charro, who makes wonderful and gorgeous art. Totally frameable.
The information card gives details on each item.
Everything in the January box!
Kaia Bamboo Tapioca Exfoliating Beads ($5 given by the card. Note that the full-size of this product actually comes with an oil) You can use this innovative product as a cleanser, exfoliator, or mask depending on what you do with it! You can mix with oil, yogurt, or water, or anything else interesting. Made of coconut, chickpeas, cleansing clay, and tapioca! I’ve used this before and it provides a nice gentle exfoliation.
Evelyn Iona Gel Liner + Brush Set ($22) This is a black mini gel liner that came along with a gorgeous bamboo brush (and it has quite a point!). I feel that I would need quite a bit of practice to pull the using an actual brush to do my eyeliner look off (this set normally comes with a different style brush), but I’m willing to give it a shot. I do not see how I would use black gel eyeliner to fill my brows, as the card suggested! In addition to being natural oil-based, the eyeliner is packed with botanicals like rosemary and goldenseal.
French Girl Organics Rose Lip Polish ($3.75) This is a nice little lip scrub made of shea butter and olive oil, and of course sugar to polish off your lips. Although I don’t really love straight up rose, the scent was very light and didn’t affect me, it was quite pretty. I rubbed it off instead of rinsing and my lips are super smooth and not oily at all. I liked the scrub to other stuff ratio in this lip polish.
S.W. Basics Mini Cream (Mini size sold for $10 at Target) This “cream” is made just of shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil (and smells like them too – it’s sort of an odd smell!). I say “cream” because it’s really a balm, which is fine, but it’s not a cream IMO. It will get used for sure – but just not where I’d typically use a cream. I opened this box up right after it came in from the cold, and as the card noted, this product’s consistency does change with the temperature, so if it’s a little firm just wait for it to warm a bit.
This was a nice little box with around $40 in totally useful items (and one fun cosmetic to experiment with!). It wasn’t my very favorite Petit Vour, but it was solid, with over double the cost in natural and vegan products. How did you like your January Petit Vour box?

Comments
The shea butter scent is strong in the SW Basic Cream. I don’t recall it being that strong when I received it in a different box. It’s too strong for me to use. Overall, the box is great. The gel liner and brush set is different than the eye products I usually see in subscription boxes. The exfoliating beads look fun to use! The lip polish smells nice.
