January 2016 Orange Glad Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Orange Glad is an gourmet dessert subscription box featuring items from independent bakeries from all across the country. They gather all the desserts and ship them right to you to enjoy. It’s an incredible way to get a sampling of items from gourmet bakers all across the nation.  

This is not actually a theme – every month says “Let the Adventure Begin.” Because every month is a sweets and desserts adventure!

The information card provides details on each treat plus ingredient and allergen information, and the best by date.

This month was absolutely packed. If you’ve seen a few Orange Glad reviews, you might have noticed that they got a new box!

I like it! It’s more compact, removes the fussy packaging and eliminates the need for a lot of extraneous packaging, because things don’t move around as much.

The Crispery Crispycakes Cocoa Concoction: If you have never seen or heard of these, this is a real treat! They are first of all absolutely massive. Second, they are so ooey and gooey – a million times more than a regular Rice Krispies treat. I really don’t know how they achieve it. My husband said something about not liking the soft ones (this definitely has more fluff than the previous ones I’ve had) but whatever, more for me.

I’ll have to share this with the kids because it’s so ridiculously huge. BTW, I weighed mine – the package says six ounces, mine was 6.9.

Tumbador Chocolate Sweet & Salty Bar: I was excited to get this! I love Tumbador chocolate and this sort of bar – milk chocolate, pretzel, peanut, toffee, and sea salt – is really right up my alley! I prefer the saltiness integrated into the bar, as it is here, instead of a big mass of salt on the top. This was fantastic!

Finally Ginger Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies: I absolutely loved these cookies – they have the bite from the ginger, some tart and nice flavor from cranberries, sweetness of cane sugar, and then the lingering ginger taste. Yum.

The Art of Caramel Vanilla Cocoa Nib Artisanal Carameled Popcorn: After sampling all the other treats, I can’t say that I detected a strong flavor at all – it was a very subtle nuance. I love popcorn so yay.

Silk Shortbread Classic Shortbread Tea Mates: I criticized Orange Glad last month for sending too much shortbread, but I guess I can’t fault them when they source excellent producers like this one. These ones were firm, round, and not crumbly at all.

This was a wow box for me, and quite a turnaround for this box. I loved everything (well the popcorn was just a like) and I thought the value was there.
