HeroCrate December 2015 Subscription Box Review

Hero Crate is a monthly geek subscription box that promises epic hero gear every month (and a t-shirt). They also offer a bi-monthly VillainCrate.

The first look at this box was pretty awesome!

The December Theme was Battle of the Forces. We totally should’ve signed up for VillainCrate for that month, but it doesn’t look all that different than our HeroCrate.

Star Wars BB8 Aluminum Bag Tag ($8) This is a really great and sturdy luggage tag, which we will definitely be affixing to our nondescript black luggage!

Star Wars The Force Awakens Funko POP! C-3PO Vinyl Figure ($8.10) I was really excited about this, because we don’t have him, and I absolutely love C-3PO! Thanks to our geek boxes we have a decent number of Episode 7 Funkos!

Star Wars Episode 4 Film Cell Bookmark ($11.99) This is totally awesome, plus we got an awesome cell – Darth Vader and Storm Troopers!

Super Hero Bottle Opener – Wonder Woman Bar Blade Opener ($8.99) Tom has been a GIANT Wonder Woman fan his entire life (who isn’t?), and he absolutely loved this one! It’s slim so it stores anywhere, and of course – it opens beer!

Star Wars Kessel Run Shirt: This is a great and fun geek shirt and shows the boys playing the (fictional) Kessel Run arcade game. 

This was a really fun box and we loved every single item in it. However, we subscribed to this box a couple months ago, have been charged three times, and have received one box. I believe the final charge is probably for the January box. I received some sort of email I can no longer find regarding the charges, but I am pretty sure one was supposed to be refunded. I sent in a support ticket and am waiting to hear back, but this isn’t the best start to my subscription, even with the awesome goods in the box.
