The pins in the January 2016 Park Pack were totally unexpected! Disney Park Pack: Pin Trading Edition is a monthly mystery pack from the Disney Store.  Every month in this subscription you’ll receive three official Disney pins – 2 open edition (released to subscribers before they’re made available to the public) plus a totally exclusive limited edition pin.

These are the Park Pack pins for January 2016. Disney Pins are the perfect souvenir – small, not too expensive, and fun to collect.  There’s no information card for this box, and just like every other month, I wish they’d include a curator’s note – maybe with names for these pins!

When I opened this box I couldn’t believe they matched the pins to last month!

The backs of the pin cards show the prices for the open editions, but not the exclusive limited edition pin, because it won’t be sold anywhere else. All pins include the Mickey pin-backs!disney park pack january 2016 goofy

Goofy Main Street Bicycle Pin: I can only surmise that this will be part of a set that includes last month’s Minnie & Mickey Tandem Bicycle Pin! This is a cool idea and I am wondering if we’ll receive the whole set or if we’ll need to complete it.

disney park pack january 2016 up limited edition UP Limited Edition Pin: The limited edition pins in this box each have a 750 pin run, and there are 4 variants, each with a different background color for the front bar (mine is black and so far I have also seen white and blue). I was incredibly surprised to see not one but two matching pins – this goes along with the balloon/UP house from last month. I also really prefer this style of variant (where one isn’t “worse” than the other, there’s just a different color).

I didn’t think I would get such a shocker from this subscription, but to have two pins match the previous month was super interesting. I can imagine some subscribers might be a little cranky if they’ve’ already traded their pins that will now form a set, or if you just don’t like those franchises, but I was happy with our box, and I know my kids will be too. With a green and silver together, this box was a little lower value than some of the other months. Come on lavender…

Maybe a little lower value but I LOVE these pins. I love that they match last months pins and who doesn’t love UP? I mean just seeing them gets all the feelings going. That is such a great movie.
