Birchbox is a beauty sampling subscription box. You’ll get at least 5 items every month (I often get more – like this month!) to try out and see what you love. Birchbox is $10 a month, plus you accumulate points after reviewing the items in your box! You’ll get 10 points per item reviewed, and 100 points are equal to $10 in the shop. Every month you can select between a sample choice to get a box tailored to your profile, or a pre-curated box. This review is for the pre-curated January Box – On Trend Korean Beauty Box. You can get this box as your first box in a subscription with code KBEAUTY16.
The information card details the product and also the price for the full-size products. If you are not sure how to review your box for points, BirchBox listed the website page on the top of the information card: Birchbox.com/MyBox
.
Birchbox teamed up with Charlotte Cho of Soko Glam to curate the January box. Charlotte Cho has released a new book about Korean Beauty. Check out The Little Book of Skin Care, watch videos, and receive a 50% discount code for the book.
Here’s the first look at the January On Trend Korean Beauty Curated Box!
It’s a great mixture of K-Beauty items. I recognize a few brands. Let’s take a closer look!
There are instructions further down the packet in English. Here are a few tips if you are new to sheet masks. Store it in a warm spot in the house if your house is cool. You do not want to be wearing a cold mask in the winter! Dump any of the extra essence on your neck or face. The sheet will start to feel dry as the essence soaks into your skin. This is how you know you are done. I find my chin finishes quicker than my cheeks. Rub in extra essence into your skin upon removing your mask.
Visit Birchbox to find out more and subscribe. Get 50 points ($5 in the shop) when you subscribe – use coupon code SUBSCRIBENOW50. Or get a free BAGGU when you subscribe – use code BAGGUGIFT (exp 1/14). You can get this box (while supplies last) as your first box in a subscription with code KBEAUTY16.

I have not opened my curated BB box yet but I am looking forward to it! That is a good swatch of the lippie you can see the true color because you zoomed. Pretty flower too love your pictures with the special extra touches. Also very glad your skin agreed with a whole BB 🙂
Pnut, thank you! I struggled with the swatch photo and decided that zoomed in looked best. I’m surprised I can use a whole BB!
*from not form.
I started reading before looking at the author (just assumed this was a Brandy post) and partway through I could tell it was PA Anna! Is it creepy that I know your “voice” / writing style that well?? 🙂
I’ve been toying with KBeauty a tiny bit (I love to read about it) and was SO excited when Birchbox offered this box! I haven’t actually tried any of it yet (product overload) but I’m very happy with it and most excited about the Waterest Essence and the sheet mask – I love sheet masks!
Very happy to hear that you are able to use all these products. I was sort of thinking of KBeauty as opposite to “natural” beauty products (which I know you love) but I think there is room for both in a beauty routine!
Not creepy 🙂 You are observant.
Are you still doing one mask a week? I’ve gotten away form that and need to start up again. KBeauty is fun to try out. Let me know what you think!
“Natural” beauty products are my favorite:) I like KBeauty because they are ahead of the game when it comes to reducing redness and inflammation in the face. The product designs are cute.
