Tinselbox January 2016 Subscription Box Review & Coupon – Happy New Year Box!

TINSELBOX is a monthly subscription delivering unique and often handcrafted ornaments and decorations for various holidays throughout the year.  The box selections are designed to be secular in nature to make them a welcome addition to any seasonal decor.  The December box has wintry items that would work well with Christmas decorations. I think we may have the months wrong, because this box arrived in December, in plenty of time for New Year’s Eve! We asked Tinselbox to send it to Florida for our vacation so we could enjoy some of the items during our holiday parties. Hence the deck (and 80 degree weather!).

This box is absolutely gorgeous and I love how they carry the celebration idea throughout the packaging and design of the box, so I took loads of photos!

This card describes the Wish Paper included in the box and gives celebration ideas from around the world. One thing to note – Tinselbox sends great emails all throughout the month with celebration tips and ideas. If one of your resolutions is to be better at incorporating the holidays into your home, improving your entertaining, and being a party thrower (whether a small or large celebration), you will love this – especially if you don’t really have the time to look on Pinterest (I don’t!).

Fortunately Yours Fortune Cookies: Made just for Tinselbox they are beautifully decorated and contain New Year’s fortunes inside! I hope my fortune is a good one!

Confetti Push-Pop: These are sort of like the new thing this month and they’re totally awesome! I think they’re going to be the #1 trending party item for 2016 and I wouldn’t be sad to get them in boxes all the time!

They make a tremendous and gorgeous mess!

Tops Malibu Good Fortune Wish Paper: The top paper is has a pretty gold Wish Paper stamp. You’re supposed to ball it up, light it on fire, and catch the ash in the air, then make a wish. It’s perfect for a NYE celebration!

Tops Malibu Sparkler Card: I love this and I think it should be on all the cakes ever! You can send this one to someone with a note on the back!

I love this idea and I think I’ll pick up a bunch for any time of year gifts. The box also included a safety card (thank you!).

Oh wow, I hadn’t expected this in my box at all! A set of two gilded Rifle Paper Co notebooks and three pencils! These are perfect for organizing your thoughts (and whatever else needs organized, hello Tax Season!) for the New Year. My daughter stole one immediately to start writing notes on her Minecraft plans. I’ll use the other one for my notes.

The two books were in yellow and peach and the inside contained creamy and thick paper. I loved how the notebook colors matched the party horns (below).

Steph Shives Studio Party Horns: Totally a party necessary! I love the rose gold, gold, and silver colors and they’re just really super fun. My family will be blowing these at 10pm (every year they have an old person’s NYE party, they seriously toast at 10pm and go to bed!).

BRRRRRRRR (that’s my horn sound). We have an extreme soft spot for NYE – it’s our anniversary – well, at least the city hall one! My husband had better plan something good, quickly! Although if he forgets he has 9 more days until our other wedding anniversary!

Tops Malibu Gold Paper Crowns: I supposed I really associate these with British Christmas poppers but there’s 8 crowns here, enough for everyone to ham it up at a party.

I love the idea of a prop to get everyone loosened up!

This is a totally amazing box and one of my new favorite subscriptions. Tinselbox absolutely does a ton of work curating perfect party items that are stylish and fun, and combines them with tips and hints throughout the year. Everything was really just gorgeous and well-coordinated and the Rifle Paper notebooks were the icing on the cake for this box. Having reviewed both the large and small boxes from this subscription, my husband and I both agree that the large box is where it’s at, although the smaller box is still cute and fun, we love getting the additional items. If you like adding a little cheer all year long with a celebration we highly recommend this subscription!
