Posh Pak Girls Subscription Box December 2015 review

Everything in the December Box!

Sequin Crossbody Purse: Today was my precious pumpkin’s birthday (watch out, we have a 7 year old now!), and this will match her holiday dress perfectly – her grandma included it as one of her gifts. The purse will make her feel so grown up!

Every box includes some sort of bonus treat, and the lollipop is perfect – especially with those FROZEN colors! (No, we’re still not over Frozen. Yes, they’re all still wild about it.)

Adjustable Crystal Bracelets: These are so cute, and again, will match that perfect party dress! I liked how they were adjustable and basically won’t fall off – we really hate losing our bling.

Pigtail Princess Hairbow: My little girl loves a new hairbow and this is a nice icy confection with a grey ribbon with white printed snowflakes, a blue polka dot ribbon, and some shimmery metallics and tulle, topped with a silver snowflake!

Julie G by Jessie’s Girl Nail Polish: Look at these colors! They’re so awesome! I believe that they’re similar to Julep’s stardust finish. The colors are Silver Bells and Rock Candy from the Frosted Gumdrop collection.

Jesse’s Girl Glow Stix Lip Gloss: Ok, the teen boxes are always fun but I never expect to make a wild new product discovery, which this definitely is! This *holographic* lipgloss is totally iridescent and really does go on just like that. It’s even wilder in person!

I believe that this also actually tones down any too dark lipstick shades you might have around – don’t feel afraid to steal it from time to time!

Viv & Lou Infinity Scarf: The final item in the box was this cute mint infinity scarf!

I absolutely loved the color scheme this month. Because of aforementioned birthday and impending Christmas celebrations, I hid everything from my daughter as I always do, but her stocking will be stuffed with some really nice surprises next week!

Posh Pak also sent along two items from the Teen Box, which contained a clutch instead of a cross body purse, the scarf, the bracelet below instead of the adjustable bracelets, the pure pigment eye dust below instead of the gloss, plus the nail polish (and of course, a candy treat).

This is a silver plated bracelet, which is a higher end item for a tween & teen box. It’s cute! The Jesse’s Girl Cosmetics pigment eyeshadow is a good example of the differences between the girls’ boxes and the teen boxes – while you may not be comfortable having a younger girl use loose shadow, teens are probably a-OK with it and will have fun experimenting.Posh Pak Girls Subscription Box December 2015 IMG_1497

I would just like you to know I thought this was a monthly program based on the reviews but it is an annual payment upfront. The total did not pop up until it was already processed. I thought it was a glitch and clicked back to see if I misread. Nope, if you subscribe for a year the monthly amount is less. Nowhere did it reason that you paid the full amount upfront. I tried to cancel. First call good. First email good. Then it was no, we don’t offer refunds.
It was a mistake and many many emails later, (and a year) I received ONE package. One that was not worth the $336 we had to pay. We downsized my daughters birthday party as that charge was way over what I was expecting.

The emails have now turned accusatory demanding I show more proof that I never received the packages. They sent auto emails and after I demanded they stop if they weren’t sending them I never received one.
My credit card company turned the credit back over as poshpak.com never responded to their requests. So 9 months after it started I’m back to square one, except now it’s the holidays and I’m having to reach out to a company that essentially wrecked the holidays twice! For me my daughters first elementary school birthday party and because I have to reopen the case the charges reposted to my account.

With the extremely negative and uncaring emails I’ve received I’m positive I’ll finally either get the 11 missing packages or my credit card company will have enough to reimburse the charges. I’m super bummed my daughter missed out on this year but we learned our lesson. I plan on donating the packages now as I don’t want anything to ever do with that company again.
