Love With Food December 2015 Deluxe Box Review + Coupon

Love with Food‘s theme for December was Chocolate Makes the World Go Round and the box featured mostly chocolate! This is a fun snack discovery subscription available in three versions: classic tasting box, deluxe/family size, and gluten-free. We purchase the Deluxe box, because we have a big family and more snacks = more fun!

What better way to celebrate the holidays than to surround yourself with great friends, family and food? December’s box is the perfect excuse to celebrate all three, with enough chocolate to help you power through until New Year’s. And we’re spreading the love this holiday season, because every box sold donates a meal to food banks in the U.S.

The information booklet contains both the ingredients for each item plus color-coded keys indicating which are non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan!  Though they offer a Gluten-free box, it’s nice to have this kind of info handily started for households with mixed dietary profiles.

Fruit Leather by You Love Fruit:  I absolutely love this brand and I think mango leather is way better than dried mango! I think I loved You Love Veggies even more though (I recently tried the beet flavor and am obsessed!).

Dark Chocolate Almond Snacking Chocolate with Sea Salt by barkTHINS:  Snacking chocolate is pretty much a totally evil idea. This has nice almond bits with sea salt to set off the flavor of the dark chocolate and the contrast with the nuts. This was a nice big bag and will last a while – it’s resealable (if you can bring yourself to do it).

Original Black Bean Chips with Sea Salt by Beanitos:  At first I was afraid the Beanitos were chocolate flavored, but fortunately that wasn’t the case! Protein and high fiber, so they’re not too terrible – and way less glycemic than corn chips.

Chocolate Peppermint Stick Mini Bar by LUNA:  I love this particular flavor and it’s the one I typically will purchase when I buy this brand. It’s chocolatey and minty and my husband and daughter have also laid claim on these ones. Since I ate the rest of the chocolate I will have to accede to their minor requests.

Liquicroc Caramels by Maison Pecou:  These are very unique with a liquid caramel center. The caramel was not overly sweet – in fact the flavoring was so dark I definitely detected coffee notes.

Midnight Brownie Gluten-Free Cookies by Goodie Girl:  I don’t really love these cookies but my daughter beamed with delight when I passed them to her this morning for a school snack. They are one of her faves. That’s why we get the deluxe box!

PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter by Bell Plantation:  PB2 is really the first and the best of all the powdered peanut butters (defatted peanut flour). I have tried others and they don’t taste good to me. These packets are screaming to be mixed into a chocolate smoothie.

Cranberry Almond Granola by Lazy Susan’s Granola:  This isn’t so much granola as granola hunks. They are huge and I honestly thought they were cookies. Nice cranberry and almond flavors and a nice contrast against the chocolate.

Dark Chocolates with Creamy Coffee Filling by Cafe Britt:  I didn’t taste these because I don’t like the flavor of coffee! I can’t really say anything more than the title, which I think is comprehensive.

Sweet Cinnamon Chickpea Snacks by The Good Bean: We love Chickpea snacks around here and have unsuccessfully attempted to make them before so we usually buy them so it was great to get them in this box.

I Bet You’ve Never Tasted This Chocolate Crisps by The Best Time of Day: No I totally had never tasted this. They are basically bread crumbs and chocolate and so good. The bag was big and it took me multiple sittings to finish it. I will totally buy this! One of the most unique snacks I’ve ever tasted. And they’re gluten free. They must use GF bread crumbs.

Sea Salt and Spiced Pepper Puffs by CheeCha Puffs

Bonus Item: Tea by Numi Tea:  Turmeric tea and Earl Grey Chocolate. These went into my best friend’s suitcase because she loves trying new flavors and she was packing!
