Konenkii Winter 2015 Subscription Box Review

Konenkii is a quarterly subscription box for women designed to ease, educate, and empower modern women through the aging process – with grace and a bit of humor.

Instead of having the information on the lid, the box came with a nice fold-out card with a Japanese proverb on the front!

Konenkii Après Ski Recipes: This was a set of (very large – thank you!) seasonal recipes perfect for a winter feast – salad, fondue, chili, frittata, and brownies!

I think they all look great and are perfect for a lifestyle box like this one!

Paperwhite and Votive Holder: I haven’t tried this out yet, but just add water and set in a sunny window and watch it grow. I don’t think it really needs much care and based on those sprouts, I think this flower is itching to come out!

This is a cool low-maintenance gardening item that anyone can use to add some pretty to their homes in winter.

Journal and Lighted Tip Pen: You can’t lose this bright red journal! We keep our records in all sorts of places but this one is great to be able to grab at any moment. You can write at any time of day with the lighted tip pen, which I have never seen before.

The inside is unlined so you can feel free to be creative!

White Pashmina: A pretty and soft scarf in a winter white color. I think every woman should learn to rock a scarf if they haven’t done it before. It took me a while but I wear them frequently now!

White Silicone Watch:  This is a fun winter accessory! I don’t usually wear a watch (really only as an accessory) but I don’t know any women in the age range of this box that don’t wear a watch! It’s simple and design and I like the fun white color (and silicone is easy to clean – just wipe off).

Erzulie Lip & Cheek Colorstick – Zoe: Natural mineral blush and lip colorstick that is easy to apply and easy to grab on the go. It’s a super pretty honeysuckle/watermelon pink with subtle shimmer!

Mini Motivational Tattoo Pack: Be Brave, Be Kind, Think Positive, It Will Pass, I Am Enough – fun messages to literally wear on your sleeve!

Lake Champlain Chocolates Salted Caramel Organic Chocolate Bar: This is a lighter dark chocolate (57% cocoa) and certified organic (plus Fair for Life certified and made with 60% Fair Trade ingredients). I like this one because the caramel is a sort of goo inside each piece of the bar. I’ve had it plenty of times – my mother-in-law is a frequent shopper of their factory store in Burlington VT. They make amazing chocolate!

This was a fun box and could be enjoyed by a wide age-range of women. I can definitely see how this box is aimed at the generation before mine – a watch, a beautiful white scarf, some fun tattoos that remind you to be useful but with meaningful messages, a fab chocolate treat, a little plant to grow and think on, and a great easy to use cosmetic product (plus some nice and large recipe cards). I also like the quarterly subscription for a box for mature women too!
