December 2015 Stitch Fix box

I asked my stylist to bedazzle me when I left my feedback on my last Stitch Fix – I guess they got excited and express mailed me my box! So this is my second Stitch Fix review for December. See the first one here! And yes, that was the entirety of my stylist note: bedazzle me.

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).

Don’t forget to enter the $100 Stitch Fix Giveaway while you’re here!

My box this month included a holiday card!December 2015 Stitch Fix card December 2015 Stitch Fix clothes

Definitely looking sparkly!

My stylist wrote: You asked to be bedazzled, so I’m bringing you some of our best bedazzled tops!

Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately!  I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration – like my own personal fashion editor!

Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account. Return the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid mailer (free shipping!).

December 2015 Stitch Fix review

Everything in my fix!

Skies Are Blue Lyndale Sequin Detail Top

Skies Are Blue Lyndale Sequin Detail Top ($58) Oooh I like this every day sequins look.  Definitely a sparkly version of my every day style, but I love how the cards show me how to mix it up with some floral prints – I would have never thought of that!

It’s got great roll up sleeves and a cutout detail on the back.

Colourworks Gerda Lace Detail Pullover Poncho

Colourworks Gerda Lace Detail Pullover Poncho ($68) Totally me! My stylist really put the me in the bedazzle me and didn’t send me a mish mash of sparkles that happened to be what they have around – she interpreted it as fun holiday clothes for Brandy.

And this is definitely a dressed up version of my favorite accessory!

Skies Are Blue Kylie Graphic Sequin Blouse

Skies Are Blue Kylie Graphic Sequin Blouse ($54) This is full on sequins and I love it. Perfect with jeans for a holiday casual event and I won’t be sweltering in Florida. I would wear this up North too – holiday outfits are my big exception to my winter clothes musts.

Mak Coffman Button-Up Cardigan

Mak Coffman Button-Up Cardigan ($48) This is a pretty holiday red. It’s just a little too ladylike for me. I can see why my stylist tried it out for me though – I love the red purse she sent me a couple weeks ago and she knows I am obsessed with cardigans. I have bought nearly every single one she’s sent me.  I’m going to spend a couple more days with this one and decide on it (I wanted to show you the holiday-friendly attire they have right now right away!).

Brixon Ivy Gambino Sequin Detail Pullover Sweater

Brixon Ivy Gambino Sequin Detail Pullover Sweater ($78) My style cards also show this one with florals – I really like how they matched the holiday items with trends they sent out in fall to help extend your wardrobe and give you new looks.  This is a really fun item, especially when paired with a nice blazer or other jacket!

sequins

I definitely felt bedazzled with this fix! I really had no clue what my stylist would send but I thought it was pretty fabulous! I should totally give more bizarre stylist notes more often (really, who tells their stylist to bedazzle them?).

Visit Stitch Fix to find out more or set up your first box! Do not forget that for a Stitch Fix fiend or someone who needs a gift of style that Stitch Fix sells gift cards, and I think it’s totally a great gift to give and to get!
