citrus lane december 2015 box
This is the December 2015 Citrus Lane box for 1 year old boys, and my very last one. Citrus Lane was a subscription box for babies, kids, and toddlers and they are shutting down.  We are currently recommending Bluum as a replacement for this subscription – you’ll get a great deal as a long term subscriber. (Save $10 on any subscription with coupon code  MRV3835U16.)

My box came with the usual card.

I was pretty happy to see this box. I received

I Can Play Puppet Book ($8.99)

Green Toys Plane ($13)

Melissa & Doug First Play Puppy Grasping Toy ($9.99)

Back to Nature Mini Chocolate Chunk Cookies (One of my faves!)

Everything I received was high quality and had a total approximate retail value of $32.

I suspected that Care.com purchased them for their customer list (I’m sure the privacy policy prevented it from being sold outright – which is also why I don’t think we’ll see a sale of Citrus Lane and a reopening, but I could be wrong) and was surprised that they lasted over a year. It was a stupid acquisition that consumers really didn’t benefit from.

Citrus Lane was one of our very first subscription boxes and my home is filled with wonderful toys and games that my children have truly enjoyed as they grew! I’m really sad to see Citrus Lane go.

If you’d like a similar subscription, try Bluum.
